Here's the scenario where he stays: The Jets have Barlow, spelled by a RBBC in the first 4 games. Nobody is getting the job done. Curtis' juices start flowing and the pain in the knee seems a lot smaller with the Jets at 1-3 and flagging. He starts game 5 and... I have no idea what the rest of the story would be but I'm guessing that's what Curtis will be thinking when he looks at the team after Barlow arrives.
I should hope that Atlanta flat out told Tannenbaum that he wasn't moving Duckett, because if there was any hope of landing Duckett and we aquired Barlow instead I would be furious.
I'm almost convinced that he has told the FO that he plans on retiring already. The Jets just committed to a runningback with 2.5 million in base salary, apparently. If Curtis ain't retiring this year, I doubt he takes longer to do it than February.
So much for the "Mangini" type player we have heard so much about. Barlow is the complete opposite of what I knew a "Mangini" player to be.
FANTASTIC MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRAT JOB BY TANGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! BARLOW IS GOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!! He's better then Duckett and Suggs. I love the rocket scientists on this board acting like jackasses cause they didn't want to give a pick. Wake the heck up, you sound like morons. Barlow is a starting running back and the Jets need a RB. It's probably for a #4 which is an absolute steal. Stop crying over losing a freakin pick, you sound like morons.

Yes, but do you know which posters are reliable are which are idiots? Some of them are also saying they should get at least as much as they got for Lloyd (a 3rd and a 4th) although they don't account for the fact that Daniel Snyder is a fool when it comes to draft picks. We'll probably give up a 4th for him, but a 3rd would not surprise me. It would just disappoint me, considering Barlow's sizeable contract.
Has anybody else visited www.kb32.com yet? Nothing says "Mangini Guy" like a self serving website
Yeah, let's all cry that a team with no cap problem and no back brought in a 1,000 yard back. Let's all cry.
Alot of you are breaking the record for clueless on this Barlow stuff. Crying about losing a possible 3 or probably 4th rounder.
and people complain about our members ? "Man, was hoping for Justin Miller or L. Coles. Not a stinking draft pick". Why do opposing teams think they can trade us dog shit for diamonds ? Atlanta was just like that, and if im not mistaken so was denver. Sheesh
Great, one more average back. So now we have 4. Blaylock, Houston, and Washington could have easily carried the load together, there is no need for barlow, bad trade.
I'm impartial until I see what we gave up.... I liked Barlow a few years ago but obviously when SF went in the crapper so did his production. It's not like he'll be playing with a SB contender so I won't expect too much out of Barlow
