I could see NE at 13-3 or even 14-2.

Couple facts you are missing. With a severly depleted WR corp and a rather limited D Mcfadden (could utilize his recieving skills) do you think teams were paying zach Miller just a little more attention in the redzone. (he was the only option) NOw with alot oF Big Wrs that can jump to the moon, D Mcfadden forcing defenders to come up(see L sproles) Zach Miller going to catch alot of Tes( teams have to worry about more options)

Zach Miller had no games over 100 yard game. UM UM Lets see Raiders have thrown the fewest passes in the NFl over the last two year. If you don't get enough chances how are you suppose to put nup over 100 yard a game. another reason what zach miller has accomplished is incredible. (blows away dustin Keller0

Fact zach Miller destroyed ever TE with 20 plus receptions. (16)
    How is that for playmaking.

I would say that it would make the universe explode but since everyone expects the raiders to suck, it really wouldn't blow anyones mind.

    the palindrome is wasted

I'd say 6 TDs against Arizona, the eventual NFC champs, is HOF stuff, no?

Yeah, I wasn't trying to cut down Baker. I just think he'll do alot of blocking. The Pats have 3 very good TE's, and somebody is probably going to upgrade thier TE situation and grab up David Thomas if they cut him.

It was a good game, but if you actually watch it, most of the offensive chances were created by the defense. Turnovers and sacks rules the first half, setting up the Jets with started feild position in cards territory on almost every drive. One of the TD came when a CB fell down while covering coles leaving him comicly open by about 40 yards. The numbers looked amazing, but it was not Favre that did it.

He had a very good 8 game run last year, but was awful in the first 3 while still learning the offense and the last 4 once he injured his arm. If Mangini had any balls he would have benched Favre, who proved game and game again that he was too injured to throw with any volicity at the end of the seaon.

The Pats, barring a brady injury, are about as sure of a bet to win 11 games as TO melting down aty least 4 times this season.

I look for the Jets or the Dolphins to be .500 teams. But I also think if the Jets do for Sanchez, what the Pats did for Brady when he first came in (keep it simple, and let him just manage the offense), and let the D play great and run the ball down people throats (sounds a little like the Ravens SB year too), they could win 10 this year.

I hear you. Unfortunately that's what happens when you bring in a QB in August and make him your starter. Mangini would have required HUGE balls to bench Favre for Clemens...

Mangini had no say in Favre. Woody johnson wanted brett favre from Day one(probably to help sell his Psl . He was even hoping Brett favre came back for another season. There was no way mangini could have benched Favre.(even if he wanted to)

He got Fired because Brett Favre couldn't stand mangini . Once he lost the Gravy train(Brett favre selling his pSl by retiring) Someone had to take the Fall and mangini was the guy. Also when you were 8-3 and expectations were really high, (fan base) and you only win one game the rest of the way.(CHOKE) Mangini- had to be the fall guy.

Woody Johnson tried to get support for those PSL will a hall of fame player. This time he trying to sell those PSl with a head coach(who going to talk big and promise multiple championships.

No doubt. Way too many things about the Jets offense were changed for Favre. So many empty backfeilds, the passing on 3rd and short, the lack of multiple shifts before the snap. What Shotty wanted to run was gutted for Favre. I hope we see a return to the things that made him look like a brilliant OC and not the lack luster showings of the past couple of seasons.

Mangini is the type of guy who touted the "my way or the highway" mentality. By letting a QB come in and change the offense and then stay in after he was obviously too injured to play he lost all credibility with the Jets team and fans. The risk taker who would on sides kick to open a helf looked like someone scared to lose a game or make waves at the end of last year. I only jst hope now the Rex's ego stays as big during the season as it looks so far this offseason. We need that at the helm right now.

Didn't Mangini also name his baby "Brett", or maybe it was the middle name? That struck me as pathetic.

Can't imagine Cable naming his son "JaMarcus"!
