or idzik already brought in his own guy... he just wasnt allowed to fire rex this past year because woody doesnt like to pay people to sit at home.
Rex can do whatever the fuck he wants but you do not saying dumb shit like this to the Media. What a clown.
Nothing to see here ... talk to me when ESPN writes the article about Belichick doing the EXACT.SAME.THING.
Damn near all of them starting with Billicheat. As always, we overreact to the ESPN BS. Rex problem is not what he is doing, but what he says at time. He is better off keeping his mouth shut or blabbing platitudes that mean nothing like most of the other coaches. Frankly, He knows more offense than most of the assholes that write this crap.
LOL, you couldn't pick worse example. BB doesn't rule the O, he just gives Brady free pass. There are plenty coaches in NFL who don't call plays on their weak side, RR is simply not an exception. But you forgot to answer my question: what the hell other coaches' habit have to do with Rex not watching every snap of a preseason game? If you're upset that he didn't watch -- relax, this s true for every nFL coach. If you're upset he admitted that to ESPN -- be proud that (a) your HC actually has balls and (b) know that ESPN would've criticize RR no matter what he said. You do know that BB whom you seem to hold in so high esteem, was an abject disaster in Cle and in NE before Brady came up, right? Just admit you hate RR and looking for shit to throw.
Rex could've said "The sky is blue" and ESPN would talk about how he is looking at the sky instead of watching his team. Get one simple thing through your equally simple head: IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT RR SAYS. ESPN will always find something in his words.
Agree 100%. This is typical media bullshit making a mountain out of a molehill. If Rex has enough faith in Marty to run the offense, then that's his call. You can sit here and debate ad nauseam if it's better to be a more proactive HC or not (no different than being a manager at any type of business), but there's more than one way to skin a cat in this regard. Some coaches are more involved than others. Rex chooses to stick with what he knows and is letting someone more than capable run the show on the offensive side of the ball.
It was a bad thing to say for Rex to say without thinking, but I don't think it's a big deal either. The reporters have to report it, it's a perfect line to spin and speculate about. It lends itself to it, just don't think it's a big deal though.
He shrugged off the Sanchez pick just like Mark did 2 peas in a pod Call me when we get some real leadership from the HC and QB spots
I dont even watch ESPN anymore, its a bunch of puppets that appeal to the mainstream idiots who worship them. All that top 10 bullshit, honestly who cares? its not even about Sports, its about entertaining the zombies who watch it. I hope FOX can compete with them with their new tv station, if not i'll stick to the radio shows like WFAN and the local TV Shows on SNY.
i have grown to go to sny rather than espn. i too cant stand what espn has become. fucking headline news of sports. no substance other than college football and other real games. although other than college football they are few and far between.
I don't, but I, like you, am in the minority. ESPN latches onto the trends that pay them a lot of money. If there actually comes a day where the majority is really interested in hard-hitting in-depth analysis, don't be surprised to see them latch onto that tend as well. The majority of people that give ESPN their ratings and sponsorships are the ADHD culture. Look at American television. You can't find a channel that doesn't push scripted reality television anymore, unless you are talking about news networks, although in all honesty that is the worst scripted realty TV of all of them.
This, BB has been praised repeatedly by the same people for how he coaches up on the sidelines. You see him do this all the time.
Rex has a new DC, a bunch of 1st and 2nd yr players, 6-7 new faces starting on his D, positions up for grabs, and Rex knows his ONLY shot for the Jets having a decent season is for his DEFENSE to be tops in the league, circa 2009-2010. Rex is using pre-season like practice...coaching and teaching his new and young players the finer points of a Rex Ryan #1 defense. Who knows? 5 yrs from now HCs may no longer have to apologizing for favoring one side of the ball. Maybe it will become the norm.
