Tampa OC: Should we take Doug Martin around the edge and take advantage of the Jets horribly slow Linebacker corps and lack of perimeter rush defense?
    Revis: Yes.

This defense is far from perfect, and Doug Martin scares me against our Linebackers and lack of tackling CBs.

Plus, I would think that they would tend to change stuff around every year. Every year players are move around, and heck, even when the Patriots were straight up spying on other teams they STILL lost games! 98% of what the Bucs are getting from Revis on Sunday is his playing ability, not knowing some old signals and tendencies about players that are observable on tape anyway. That stuff only goes so far, and I think at the end of the day, like you said, what matters the most is execution.

Sparano was Jets defensive coordinator or something last year?

No wonder that offense sucked. I should have known that.

The defense has changed from last year. It's not going to be that same timid crap from last year. And what can he say that no one else who watches the Jets every week can't?

    Stephen Hill is fast!
Jeremy Kerley is a great route runner!
Santonio Holmes is lazy, but very good overall when he actually tries!
    Sanchez throws interceptions!
Cromartie is a very physical CB!

If they introduce their D, I will cheer Revis...after that though, he is the enemy.

He also doesn't take into consideration Kerley and Hill can actually get better and learn some new things at the position.

This is common among ex-teammates but I think Revis saying this so freely was another middle finger by him towards the Jets organization and his former teammates. Usually players don't come out in the open like this but this game is very personal for Revis, so he has to make it out to be such a big deal. You're on a perceived better team, and got the contract you wanted...what's there to be bitter about?

If I am a Nick Mangold or D'Brick or Holmes, I'd look to stick it to him big time. Maybe one of our WR throws a hard block at Revis on the outside to take the wind out of him. I'd have no problem with that.

This is nothing new. What player doesn't discuss what they know about their former team to their current one? If it wasn't Revis, this wouldn't even be newsworthy...not that it is in the first place.

So he knows our defense, Ok. Different team, different year. Will he be calling the plays for the Bucks on offense?? Don't get me wrong, I respect Revis but we are running a completely different offense this year.
Regardless, this is all just talk. Hopefully it will spark the Jets and light a fire under them!

Revis hasn't played in a game since September 23rd...almost a year ago.

He should be worrying more about ring rust than anything.

For those few that actually understood the OP I'll point out what stands out to me and that's the comment he made about Smith not studying him. I bring this up because of the pre draft concerns about Smith's studying and film habits as well as his reported disinterest in the interview process. That can add up to a guy that will fall flat on his face thinking he knows it all.

Unless Ryan has figured out how to beat the no huddle, it ain't going to matter what Revis tells his OC.

the most damaging thing Revis could reveal is what the defense keys on and how to exploit what the key is. In other words if you know what Rex tends to have his defense key on then you can set deceptions to fool that key read.

Whining his way to another team after two major holdouts including one that cost him a few games when he was out of shape and got punked by Moss on a TD not enough?

Of course he is going to tell his new team about his old team. However, he seems to relish in telling everyone that he is doing it out of spite. Move on Mevis. You got paid just like you wanted. No need to be douche about it.
