Let's be honest, though - Dallas is the sexy pick this year because the perception is that this will be Parcells' last year as head coach.

Drew Bledsoe is a two-steps forward, three-steps back quarterback. He'll never ever ever ever EVER get Dallas to the NFC Championship game.

The Jets were 9th on the first ESPN power rankings of 2005. The Seahawks were 13th, I think.

"You honestly believe that? The patriots could have 12 monkeys and Belichick and still have the best coaching staff in the NFL."

gibbs has three rings with three different qb's.

He spoke correctly. Ramsey was pulled pretty quick though last year.

Who cares. The worse the better. Jets are sure to show a better team being thought as one of the worst. You'll see.

It's not an argument. The guy asked in his comments on the Jets when any of the 4 QBs in camp last went into a season as the starting QB, insinuating that it had been some time ago. In fact both Pennington and Ramsay were starting QBs in Week 1 last year, and Clemens is a rookie. I was simply pointing out what a stupid comment it was.

Not this time around. Just too much to overcome next season? Like losing three out of your five top players.(J Abraham, Ty Law and K Mawae) Have to learn two new schemes on offense and defense, Breaking one most inexperience coaching staffs in, Going with alot of young players, glaring holes that Mangini was unable to fill(where pass rush or Olb -can only do so much),and still hugh question mark at QB. Patience because it might get worse before it gets better.

I'm sure you've said that before, but just so you're clear, mawae and law were nowhere near top 5 players last year, abraham possibly, along with vilma, coles, rhodes and graham for me, but not mawae and law. The former got hurt early and was responsible for a number of fumbles prior to that, while the latter gave up far more in penalties and completiions than he ever gained in picks.

Perfect place. They will never see us coming. Every team that has us on their schedule has already penciled in a "W". Perfect place to be. Not one team will prepare for us seriously. Big mistake.

How do you drop 4 spots after mini camp????

Whatever. I really dont care about where we are before the season, its where we are at the end of the season that matters.

the article says: When was the last time any one of four QBs on the roster had a chance to be the opening day starter? That's not a good sign.

the answer is last year. what a tool! 2 of them were opening day starters, Ramsey and Chad

The Jets had two who could have started in Week 1 last year- Pennington and Fiedler.

The "tool" is saying that there are currently four QBs on the Jets roster who could possibly start in Week 1 this year. It is an open competition right now.

Your putting a punter in your top five best Jet players, and that says it all. Just for record a Guy getting hurt early dosen't mean he wasn't one of your top five players. Case In Point C woodson was lost after week five, but it would be silly to say he wasn't one of the Raiders five best players. (even though he hardly played).

LETs try saying it another way. Who was Jets best pass rusher- Would I be correct to say that it was J Abraham.

Who was Jets best CB ? Would I be correct if I said TY Law.(made a ton of big plays)

Who ON last years Oline would be considered better than Mawae? (again like WOodson situation) For someone who wasn't that good, the titans sure paid him a nice salary.

Sorry but you don't lose those type of players and not feel it. Even though Mangold is fine looking prospect, he still dosen't have Mawae vast experience.

Recap . Best pass rusher(Abraham) + Best CB(TY Law) + Best and Most experienced Olineman(K mawae)= your going to feel those losses big time next season.

It makes more sense if you read it that way. My initial reading of it was an insinuation that none of these four qbs had been starters lately, which, on reflection, would be terrible journalism.

That said, it's June, the season doesn't start for month, plenty of time for 4 to become 1. I suspect that Pennington will seperate himself from the pack in Training Camp. And when I say "suspect", I mean "hope".
