Both WCs were taken by the AFC South last year, and they play in the AFC, the better conference. It may not seem like it because of "star power"...the NFC East gets all kinds of national attention, but I think that teams would rather play the Eagles and Skins versus the Titans and Texans, even if Vince Young really does suck that bad.
NFC EAST is the best division in the league. Phi, Wash, Dallas and the super bowl champs gmen are all top 12 teams in the league. If you think Wash is the weak link, think about this offense - portis, s moss, randal el, cooley and 2 of the top 5 WR's in this draft....that will be scary and Campell is much more progressed at this point then Clemens.... AFC East is somewhat of an anomaly with the best and worst team in the same division and two average teams in our JETS and the bills. If you do the math that comes out to A, F, C,C so you get a C for the division - although the Jets will be great this year and I fully expect a playoff birth which has a much better value than a C...but going into the season this is where we are at. You cant be 4-12 which is an F in my book and in one offseason go straight to a B+ or higher.
Jeaux is gonna be pissed the Raiders are ranked 26th in these Power Rankings. I think it's apparent this Bill Williamson isn't aware of these player's 40-time.
Oh I've been on the Browns breaking out since last offseason. They're a damn good team, and Savage is one of the top 5 or so draft GMs in this league. I'm not an Anderson fan though. He's too inefficent for that offense. I think Quinn is still their guy in the long run, and for good reason.
Nah, he'll just say that the Raiders are going to be the surprise team of the NFL. Just like last year and the year before and the year before that.
I know these things don't matter and all, but as a Giants fan it does kind of bug me that even after beating a team some were calling "the best team ever" in the Super Bowl we still get written off. I hope this motivates the team to make another run.
I love how low the Chiefs are ranked. The Germ has ruined what was a good team when he arrived there.
Right now, even after the Browns' weird draft, or lack of draft -- Savage is the best GM in the NFL. He's built that team from the bottom up, and he's done it the right way. I'm still undecided on Anderson as well. He has to do it AGAIN in my opinion, and I don't know if he can.
I take it we should win at least 10-12 games this year because we play 8 games against teams that are ranked lower than us. YEA RIGHT!
The Browns got some nice steals...Bell...Rucker...Rubin...and Hubbard were all great picks for where they were taken...plus they signed UDFAs like Eric Young and Lance Legett with some really good potential at the pro level. I'm not an Anderson fan. The way to describe the guy is inefficent. This is the NFL of the 21st century...QBs need to be accurate and have more than just a gun. He got scared as hell when the O-line broke down, which is understandable...but all it took was *some* pressure to shake the guy. But yea...I agree on your stance...I shouldn't condemn the guy like that.
