Exactly. As much as PSL's suck, and Woody does deserve to be taken to task for that, it could be worse. At the same time, I don't want to hear people say season ticket holders have no rights to complain because STH's are paying customers for the games and are the ones who have to deal with these price hikes.

Woody has spent on players, brought in Rex and Tannenbaum, built the team a brand new state-of-the-art facility and they've been a good team for the better part of a decade. Also, you can't complain about the PSLs AND not having our very own new stadium, you have to pick one. As mentioned here, he tried for the WSS which would have been great for the Jets and the city, the idiot politicians in NY Bruno and Silver (great guys) killed it. Not Woody's fault.
No. The Redskins were worth a fortune before Snyder bought them. JKC was a gentleman owner and knew how to work the power game in DC in order to build the value of his franchise. Snyder is a fan who fell into money and bought the team.
That's not WHY there isn't a stadium. Dolan's did not block, they protested but they had no power to block. They said many things one of which was to build affordable housing LMFAO. The fans didn't like no tailgating but again had nothing to do with the stadium not being built. The 2 reasons it didn't get done are -S.Silver -Woody Johnson Silver had the vote and chose to vote against it citing he had to give his attention to the WTC which imo was just political BS...but one of the issues was also NY having to pay for the platform over the rail yards which goes to reason 2... Woody Johnson absolute refused to have the stadium built in Queens because he is a cheap fuk. He wanted it on the WSS because he figured he could charge higher tix prices AND get NY to flip the bill on building the Rail platform also because NY would be paying for the 7 line extension and the JJCC expansion project. In Queens he would have to pay for everything and felt he couldn't charge Manhattan $$$ so instead (as cheap fuks do) went 50% w/the vaGiants all the while lying to us saying no PSL's then bam...PSL's The problem I have is that most of you guys start citing "Business Decision" yet what we are saying is that we realize it's business decisions but all his decisions are that and he cares nothing about the fans. Also, some of you don't even go to games and have no idea what it's like to be a STH or even what the stadium is like yet are telling STH to stop bitching blah blah..gmab

Since Woody has taken over only 2 teams have more playoff appearances. Woody spends on the team and has the right people to handle the football decisions and he steps back from that too. I love him as the owner of my team. Was I pissed about PSLs, sure I was but that takes nothing away from the product he's putting on the field. In the end, that's all I care about.
I still think that 2 teams have fans pay for "Personal Seat Licenses" when both are sharing the seat with another fan is ridiculous. I think building two stadiums for 10 games each is a waste of money as an American citizen, but if I would have to pay a PSL regardless, I'd much prefer my own stadium.
i hear what you are saying jfm, and i also see your point nyjunc.. i dont agree but i know better than to argue with you about it... i see no reason why it has to be one way or the other. there is a middle ground that can be had, many successful teams have gone and spent money and been bigger winners than the jets without fucking their fan base dead in the ass with a burlap condom. i agree with royal tees comments, to sit here and allow someone to slap the fans in the face over and over and in more and more creative ways is just not something i can sit back and say is ok. whether the team is winning or not, its unacceptable and he deserves to take a HUGE hit for it. its not just the idea of the psl, which enrages me its the way over the top prices they decided on and then all the bs that they put people through... its a shame to see guys go through this type crap for a team they really love, they are getting abused and its just not right. i see a bunch of stuff from ndmick... i havent bothered reading it yet so thats why i am not commenting. nyjunc and jfm as usual made good arguments and were very personable about it... hence my reply to them.
It's absolutely insane and a reason I didn't buy any. IF we got the NYC Stadium I would have been ok w/ PSLs but the Jets and Giants both fleeced their loyal fanbases.
