Espn writers seriously all just need to DIAF and be replaced by journalists that actually do research and know what the fuck they are doing. This article is beyond horseshit.
beat him on a play? No it's not impossible. But dominate him? Even Steelers fans have to beleive that it's...... unlikely. Revis has dominated Branch and Wayne in the playoffs. He dominated both Johnsons, Randy Moss (last year specifically, and even this year, it took Revis pulling a hammy on the play, and a crazy one handed grab to beat him) TO, Ocho, Steve Smith and many many more. Can Wallace get it over on Revis? sure, will he? I seriously doubt it
Many slant & skinny post receptions come from trips formations, or in the case on at least one reception by Pats off revis, a four receiver formation, where hidden receiver cuts inside. No way for Revis to match up off LOS with him. Giving credit for that type of "reception" is just not accurate.
I wonder why that guy had to resort to such small sample sizes... oh yeah nobody is stupid enough to throw at Revis.
I'm sure we will try to avoid where ever TP43 is. Big Ben better be careful. Like Bart said...CAN'T WAIT!!!
So wait a second, Revis had a slant or skinny post thrown on him on average once every other game in the second half of the season, giving up an average of 14 yards on that one pass, and that's Revis struggling late in the year with those patterns? Yeah, that makes sense.
Well, the Steelers may not be showing the Jets any disrespect, but I sense this article is going to make its way into the Jets' hands... Just the sort of ammo the Jets fed off of the last few weeks. More disrespect for the defense, or at least elements of it.
Personally, If I were the CS....I'd have 5 plays that feature Keller and Joe Mcknight (motioning out of the backfield) that have both players heading at TP43 and forcing him to cut hard and chase either player after a pump fake. 3 or 4 times in the first quarter will push him to punish that sore leg he's got.
Please don't post anymore. I have to ...step away...everytime I see that Avvy. For all the discussion, what gets lost in it is how long her legs are.
Let me get this straight. We're taking a computer simulation of baseball that uses nothing but stats to run. We're then saying that because computer simulation showed something was true about baseball, it means that something else is true about football. Did I get that right? OK thanks, bye. edit: I stopped reading when I gathered that much. How is Wallace supposed to dominate Revis?
Revis let up something like 50 yards on skinny posts in the latter half of the season. Pair that with Rapelisberger throwing to him when Revis isn't on him (which will probably be most of the time) and that = Revis domination. I've read a lot of articles in my life, this one is probably the stupidest.
Slants and skinny posts. Teams have completed 4-5 of them on Revis in the second half of the year or some shit. Seems to fail to recognize that they have only attempted the throw 5 times for some reason.
Thanks, I refused to read any more of that filth after the first part. It turns out that was a good decision because that's nearly as retarded as the first bit. Is this guy a real journalist?
Funny, after being in the league for 4 years now you'd think that we would have seen Revis get beaten if it's this easy... The guy is so automatic, it's insane.
