the reality is that joe douglas and gase need to know whether or not they want to have him as a jet for the next couple years or long term. and act accordingly. if they dont want him long term then the BEST thing to do is to trade him. if he doesnt want to sign a deal that makes sense to the franchise then you can trade him, deal with him for 2 years and get nothing or hope that he decides to stay for less. the rest of it is all semantics.

The "antics" he is referring to are not his tweets on twitter. They are his comments on other tweets and his comments on posts on Instagram.

Keep in mind, he has also deleted a lot of those comments.

On one hand I don't really care how much a bitch Jamal is....if he terrorizes opposing offenses, I want him on MY team. We've been void of true talent for so long it makes me sick to think we're letting our best player walk (again....u'd think we learned after letting John Abraham waltz).

Chiefs handed their QB $50 AND just gave their pass rusher a new $22 per. That's $72M on just 2 players. I think we an afford Jamal at 17.

Quinnen, Jamal, and CJ in the middle our our D would put us near the top for years to come.

  4. Ahh the “Poor Jamal” diaries have returned.

A place where a Multi millionaire paid to play a game can publicly whine, ostricize & insult whoever he wants to get paid MORE multi millions during a global pandemic & is still somehow a sympathetic victim. And dont you DARE express any discouraging viewpoints pertaining to greed, selfishness or the like. Its a violent game.Poor Jamal

Yeah, that argument is gone for Douglas, but I think something will have to happen any way. I don't see Jamal just playing on his 4th year this year. He will either be extended or traded. Maybe he sits out the year as another option.

Back to Garrett for a second: I really wondered if he would play in the NFL again after that Steelers game, and instead of just playing, he gets a $125 million deal. What a world we live in!

And Dak Prescott turning down $100 million guaranteed in a pandemic is another interesting decision. Crazy stuff going on in the world and the NFL.

I can't imagine Joe Douglas is just sitting around and doing nothing. I assume he is looking a trade options and also contract extension options daily with Jamal. Hopefully something happens soon.

I'd hope that Joe Douglas is calling up the Jags to see if they want an all-pro safety in return for the stud pass rusher they for some reason don't want to pay.

Latest trade rumors have said Jax was offered a pro bowl player in a trade but said the player did not fit their system. I wonder....

Jags are stupid and it's probably not the Jets that they turned down, but if their reasoning for not wanting Jamal is his fit in their system, they are even stupider than I thought.

I'd like that trade mostly because the Jets get a great pass rusher, but also because Jamal will get to watch the Jets succeed while he and the Jaguars go (3-13). :)

I don't think that really fits what Douglas wants to do. He wants rookie contracts and players the team can indoctrinate into their own system and then extend.

If he knew this was brewing and didn't actively try to move Adams before the draft then shame on him. That does tell me that he wants him on the roster for at least another year.

Unfortunately Adams had maximum value this past year because of all the control he'd be under given a trade to another team.

This is very similar to the mismanagement of Wilkerson and Richardson and back to Revis. We did get fair value for Richardson and Revis but this team has no fucking clue how to keep their own homegrown talent happy. It's mind blowing and at the top of the organization since it's transcended general managers and head coaches since at least I've been an avid ran in the early 2000's.

Hell, I might have to cut a corner or two, but I think I can afford to give Jamal Adams $50 to shut his mouth with a $22 conditional bonus if he survives it for one week.

Goddamn it, I didn't see this before my other post. Always beaten to the punch. That's why I would never even attempt boxing. I'll be on the canvas before I put gloves on. Different takes but we both noticed it, haha. Cheers!

Remember when he deleted the Jets? I don't belong to social media, but I might consider joining just to add him and then delete him, then I'll add him again and tell him why I'm deleting him and delete him again. Kids today; but tell me, is this the equivalent of hanging up in somebody's face? It is? Hmmm social media, upon further consideration, nah, it's still a no. I think I'll just call him instead and hang up on him the good old-fashioned way.

What song should I have playing in the background? 'Don't Talk to Strangers', 'Let Me Talk', 'You Talk Too Much', or 'Big Mouth, Big Talk'? 'I Talk To Jesus Everyday' need not apply. I'm an atheist. Seeing as my thread about Joe Douglas killing Jamal Adams with silence was deleted because Google gave Petrozza a hassle about it, maybe I'll try a different tack. I'm serious, Google hassled him about it for objectionable and derogatory content and I got a "warning", which was removed. LMAO.

We're all peaceful people here. Besides, he tripped, he wasn't pushed. Unless his cat stuck his leg out. Does he have a cat? The plot thickens.

Maybe he is depressed. Or maybe he finally realized his current strategy of handling the situation was not working.

I get the sentiment but we're talking about a high level pass rusher in his prime. Who cares where he came from? You'd be spending the same money to sign a guy coming off his rookie deal at age 25. Yes you'd like to know that the player is already a fit before paying him but I don't know if it's worth passing up on talent. Either way it hardly matters because I highly doubt Douglas would offer Jamal to any team not willing to give up the almighty draft pick.

I can't fault Douglas for Adams not being happy. I also can't fault him for not moving on pre-draft. At that point there weren't any third year guys that got massive extensions because that's just not how the business worked (edit: McCaffrey did). He probably also didn't foresee Adams being a petulant moron about the entire situation. Now if Adams is mad because Douglas promised something and never delivered, then yea that falls on Douglas and you can tack it on to the list of contract negotiations we've botched.

Or he finally got some good advice.
