I prefer to keep Adams, I just don’t see it happening. if we are going to trade him that’s as good of a trade we could get for the Browns #1 alone. Until they prove otherwise, that has to be assumed to be a top ten pick.
Trading one fat mouth for another, decisions, decisions. Kidding aside, unless the Jets get something so ridiculously lopsided in their favor - and I'm talking unheard of in the history of the NFL ridiculously lopsided in their favor - I'm taking a big, fat, pass on Odell Beckham, Jr. Pass, heh; but I mean it. Jamal Adams has Darrelle Revis Hostage Taking written all over him, and if he doesn't accept a reasonable offer, I'm done with this before it starts. Just kick him in his ass for his trouble, but not to a rival.
I don't want OBJ, but if I even considered this, it would only be Adams for OBJ and the Browns 2021 first. OBJ has been a disruption wherever he's been, and he hasn't produced above medicore for at least two years. Actually, as I read what I wrote, forget it entirely. Don't want OBJ, and do not want to give up Adams unless it's for at least a #1 and #2 next year.
But..but..positional value.. Playmaking WR far more impactful than a safety err..im sorry that logic only applies when its about DE-valuing offensive skill in favor of OL & defense.. Carry on..
I would do it because: -I dont want to pay $18mil to a SS -I do want to help Sam to be successful -That 1st round pick could be used to add a pass rusher, OL, or offensive playmaker. Having said that, the Jets will not trade Adams. I suspect he plays this year and will be resigned before 2021-2022 season.
And yet, they still have a losing record since he's been a Jet. No, I'm not saying that's all his fault, but to point out there's a limit to how much "fire and emotion" do for a team. For my oney, gien me a Pro Bowl WR who has "fire and emotion", over a Safety or CB with the same quality.
And yet, a top 10 defense on a team with no edge rusher or CBs. It's never happened b4 in NFL history.
made this poll worthless by adding obj to it. jets fans arent going to want obj, had you picked another receiver, lets say jarvis landry who i dont know his contract situation you would have gotten a better idea of what jets fans think about trading the prez
Jamal Adams played like a Hall-of-Famer last year He is getting better every year Still 2-3 years from his prime, which should last 3-5 years Then he’ll have another 3-4 more good years after that With the Jets track record of drafting, #1 picks aren’t nearly as attractive as they sound Mac kind of sucked, but he did draft Adams and moved up to take Darnold I say “kind of” because Idzik is the very definition of suck Most people don’t know that Idzik was actually a secret agent sent by the Giants to infiltrate and destroy the Jets organization
This thread is dumb. Say it's the 2006 offseason, you have Ed Reed. Would you trade him for Chad Johnson?
Good question. Reed was drafted in 2002 and they didn’t win a Super Bowl with him on the team until his 11th year. Would anyone say they should have got rid of him? Sometimes it takes time to accrue good players, we shouldn’t be trying to ship them out.
I think Adams should be traded, but not for OBJ. J$m$l Adams is selfish and arrogant and will cause trouble for the Jets, but OBJ has similar negatives to J$m$l.
