If he plays like Sanchez did in all six of his playoff games, then the Lions lose by 4+ TDs. There is no running game or top 5 D backing him up. Stafford needs to be efficient(>70%) and score on almost every possession to have a slim chance in this game. They're completely different roles.
we didn't have a great run game last year and our D's were top 5 in ranking only. if he plays as well as sanchez in postseason you guys should have a good chance to win.
^^^ Thats a good point. Let me ask this question. If the jets made the playoffs the last couple of years with there defense playing like it is right now...do the jets win those games???
If Stafford throws for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns with no picks, there is absolutly no chance they win the game
Did you know Brady has the highest career winning percentage (10 games or more) than any other QB in NFL history? Did you know Brady has 3 Super Bowl rings and 4 AFC Conference championships? Sanchez can have his "game manager" QB rating.
As a Jets fan, would you trade 4 meaningless Wild Card and Division Round playoff wins over the last 3 years for 3 Super Bowl titles and 4 AFC Conference championships over the last 10 years?
Stop living in the past, the patriots have done absolutely nothing in the postseason the last 4 years but get embarrassed at home in the first round.
Who wouldn't? But soon it will be 10 years SINCE they won those Lombardis. 10 years is going to turn into 15, then 20, and pretty soon they will have to hire someone to dust the cobwebs from those trophies. What have they done for you lately, TX? Edit: As a follow up, would you trade 4 home playoff losses for 4 road playoff wins?
What have they done lately? They just finished the season with the best record in the AFC for the #1 seed and won the AFCE for the 9th time in 11 years. Maybe the Jets should start focusing on regular season play instead hoping 3 teams lose in week 17 so they can back into the playoffs as a 6th seed. Why do Jets fans continue to ignore 3 mediocre seasons of play and only focus on two years of improbable playoff runs?
What has focusing on the regular season done for the Patriots lately? Gotten them that amazing golden AFCE Division Championship trophy? Do you think that getting their asses kicked in the first game they play in the post season every year is good experience for that young defense? And again, would you trade 4 home playoff losses for 4 road playoff wins?
Lmao they went 14-2 last year and got completely smacked in the first round of the playoffs AT HOME. Since when does regular season wins get you cookie points in this league?
Nope but if Sanchez played poorly the last 2 years in postseason we don't win those games either. It's not about yards, it's about points, moving the chains, limiting mistakes, making big plays. If he can do that Detroit will have a chance.
Brady is the best QB of this genertaion but that game manager badly outplayed Brady on NE's homefield in the div rd of the playoffs. The to of the NFC is tougher, the bottom is pretty weak w/ NYG, Atl and Detroit.
At least Peyton isn't a pure system QB like the ugg wearing pretty boy pen protector wearing teachers pet in NE. LMFAO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgi2lY62Hto
