That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. He's played 2.5 seasons and his best year was last season when he threw 24 TD, 18 INT behind a stalwart offensive line. Yeah he's a lock.
Interesting what if he is available? Shanahan is gone maybe he was a big fan of Cutlers and new head coach sees things differently.
They only listened because McDaniels wanted Cassel, it was never that serious either. They will not trade him away under any circumstance now
LoL you watch football? He was behind a good O-line? I'm gonna sit here and explain why he will be I'll just say how many other young QB's would you take ahead of him??? Not to many
I would take Cutler over anyone who we have now on the roster for QB. The jets had their chance to draft him but we chose D'Brickshaw over him
Cutler was never on the block. Teams were asking Denver if they got Cassel, would they entertain a trade of Cassel for Cutler. The answer was NO.
 I thought the thread was hilarious enough with the original post, but its funnier seeing people who wouldn't want him if he really was available.
Do you? You can't be serious. Denver was tied for the fewest sacks allowed in the league. Their running game was plug and play.. 3 out of 4 of their running backs that rushed for more than 200 yds averaged at least 5 ypc. Don't tell me their line wasn't good.
Don't really care enough to see if those stats are right or not but answer the question. How many guys would you take over him. I know Brady, Manning, and Brees but then he is right there.
Being "good" doesn't make him a future hall of famer by any stretch of the imagination. To answer your question, I'd take Manning, Brady, Brees, Romo, Warner and McNabb over him, definitely. Maybe Rodgers or Rivers also.
I believe this like i believe Ted Williams frozen head will one day come back to life. That being said, let's trade Brad Smith for him straight up! This way he can throw passes to himself.
If you're talking fantasy football then yes Cutler is top 5. Yet that's where it ends. Cutler wouldn't be in my Top 5 active QB's in the league. Makes awful decisions, throws way too many INT's and doesn't seem like a leader out there. I'll take Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco over Cutler anyday. That's after the 3 you already mentioned along with a few others, and then Cutler. One big difference...they're winners and Cutler isn't.
If theres any truth to this you obviously have to check in and see what it might take if your the Jets. In the end though I doubt the Broncos trade Jay Cutler. It tokk them a while to find a QB after Elway left. They got one and there going to trade him? I really doubt that.
Why are we arguing about a guy not being traded? Since he ins't being traded, why is this in the Jets forum?
The Denver D has been so bad, lot of pressure was put on Cutler to score as much as possible. He took additional risks in trying to do that. Denver played most games from behind, and teams loaded up against the pass... as a result, they had good numbers rushing, but that is a mirage. Cutler tried to force too many passes. I'd take Cutler in a heartbeat. And yes, I do think he has a chance to be a HoF QB at some point, he has the talent for it. Mobile, strong arm, smart.
He's only going to the hall of fame if he wins a Super Bowl and one of his teams hasn't won a big game since High School.
Yep, it is quite funny. And I always love the 'His team hasnt won' retort. Judging individuals by team play is faulty and often dumb logic is behind it.
