Yeah that is true, he does want a starter position. But at the same time, he's only going to get what teams are going to give him. I just think we can do just as well with what we have. And trust me, that's no endorsement of what we have on staff. Kellen Clemens is the second coming of Glenn Foley...or worse! Ratliff lit up a bunch of 3rd stringers in the preseason, so nothing to sell there. But we all know this is going to be a run first game, so either you or I could probably suite up haha!

Things like that were said about Tony Romo and Matt Cassel not too long ago.

Agreed on Clemens but Ratliff at least needs a chance. This team looks to be coming together nicely. And with the JETS luck no top quality QB is available through free agency this year. Im really not sold on any of the college QBs coming out either. Baltimore was pretty succesful with mediocre QBs and great defenses. Ryan could be using that to set his bar. I see Leftwich or Boller on this roster on opening day.

Hey you're right, in fact Cassell couldn't even light up 3rd stringers this past preseason! But really, Cassell is a huge product of the system. Those guys up in Foxboro know how to make people play. Its incredible, really. We'll see what he does with KC.

Yeah they definitely are not looking for the next Joe Montana. The D should be exceptionally strong this year. I can't wait to see teams get stuffed regularly! We just need to score some points. It puts a knot in my stomach to think we could be in for years of low scoring games.

Our 09 and 2010 1st round picks for Cutler. If we had Cutler, I'm gonna say we pick near the end of the 1st round in 2010.

That's probably what it would take, and I'd do it in a heartbeat.

lets be honest guys it would be impossible to get him, the only reason theyre llistening to the lions is cuz they have the number 1 pick, even then it would take thier 2 number 1's tthere second and prob a 1st next year too.

Cutler isnt going anywhere, Mcdaniels just wanted to see what he could get, a rookie mistake by a rookie coach

Honestly, at this point Cutler is one of the 10 most valuable players in the league. There just aren't that many great young QBs around. If we can get him for anything close to the price of Cassell, I'd do it in a second.

Anybody who doesn't want Cutler is nuts...the kid can flat out play. He would be the best QB we had since Joe Willie.

I would start with this years 1st round and than negotiate on from there. If it takes two 1at round picks than so be it. QB's like Cutler are really hard to come by.

If Woody really wants to sell PSL’s this would be a move that would help.

I really hope Josh Daniels ruined Cutler as a Bronco, one of my favourite non-Jets, he is a diabetic too, so he is up on my son's wall as well as Adam Morrison.

I hate the Broncos, even more so with Daniels at the helm so this would benefit me greatly

Oh man, I always thought he was. Well, if a lie is what it takes to make the trade, I'm willing to do it haha. Uncle, father...whatever, it's all the same in some parts of the country haha.

I would go for that. However Denver will want much more than one first rounder for Cutler.

I wouldn't give up anymore than that. The guy hasn't even lead his team to the playoffs yet in arguably the weakest division in football this past year. The division winner didn't even have a winning record! Yes, that is how far the AFC West has fallen.

I want a QB who wins. Too many people get enamored with how athletes look these days, instead of results on the field which is all that matters. I could care less about how far he throws the ball or how tight his spiral is or what a quick release he has. None of those attributes mean a thing if a QB can't win when the game is on the line.

He has yet to show me he can win big games in this league. Like I said yesterday, I'd take Peyton, Brady, Rivers, Ryan, Big Ben, Brees, McNabb and probably a few more QB's before I took Cutler (everything else being equal).

Absolutely. Everybody wanted Favre, but no one wants Cutler? Cutler is young and one of the better QBs in the league. You would be crazy not to want this guy.

If that is true, than I agree. He is a nutjob.

My favorite thing about the entire Cassel situation:
If Brady didn't get hurt, Cassel would have re-signed with New England for the league minimum this offseason and no one would have cared about him. Now he is making big cash and it going to suck in Kansas City. The first thing Cassel needs to do is hug the guy from KC who hurt Brady.

    I disagree...

It's hard to win more than 9 games when your defense gives up 28 points a game.

They didn't even win 9 games, they won 8.
