Jets had the most 3 and outs in football last year.
Meaning the ran close to the fewest plays.
Which means you need to analyze it as a percentage of plays he was under pressure, not jjust the number.
Which means Cimini needs to go back to 4th grade math.

You can also classify "QB Hits" how you want, but there's a big difference from bumping the QB, and driving him into the turf...... unfortunately the latter happened to #6 too many times.

this is the kind of nonsense I see far too much of around here of late.

In fact according to nfl.com the Jets ran the tenth most offensive plays from scrimmage last year at 1030, which btw was only 52 fewer than the Pats, who were in second place. NO was the clear leader in first, but the Jets were only one or two plays a game less than most teams in the top ten, and 22 teams had fewer plays.

If I were a mod here I would consider a temporary ban for posting absolute falsehoods like metfan just did. But more to the point, his is once again a case where some loose "observation" meaning misunderstanding of the game, was supposed to be enough to make a "point" that was absolutely untrue.

Here's the link to the nfl.com stat. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categoryst...p=1&conference=ALL&d-447263-s=SCRIMMAGE_PLAYS

Again. Who gives a shit different year different season. We have not seen our offense play this well in six years.

Schotty is what he is a middle of the road to below average OC. Lets see what Sparano can do so far so good. The biggest difference I see with a one game sample is that Sparano seems to be a decent play caller. He has a feel for the down and distant and how to set-up defenses. Welcome change from Schotty who seemed to have zero rhythm in his play calling.

We obviously do not care for one another, but I think it is obnoxious and improper for a mod to make personal attacks on another poster like you just did. I will not risk being banned by telling you what I really think of you, but feel free to use your imagination. And ftr I am fully aware this is a public message board, on which you are a mod. And I am not. And I do fully expect you to continue following me around with personal attacks. While I think that makes you look foolish, I can live with it, so continue to have at it.

And of course you did not refute the substance of what I said, instead engaging in merely more restatements of your own past perceptions, however baseless they may be.

On to the substance, the gaping hole in your analysis is that the obvious fact that Ferguson for example should not have been starting in the Pro Bowl does not in itself mean he was "TERRIBLE". Or even below average, for that matter.

    Have a nice day.

The thing with stats is that you can twist them anyway you want to make you point, as with many Jets fans I don't need stats to know last year that Sanchez was shell shocked, OL (Hunter and the backup TE) were an open doorway to the QB, Sanchez was either running for his life or hearing footsteps in his head and forced a lot of throws, I am not putting Sanchez in the top 5 of QBs but as we seen against the Bills if given a chance and if he knows the OL will protect him, Sancez will make plays down field
