The problem is Clemens is coming into a very bad situation this week with the Ravens coming off of a bad loss to the Bengals and Ray Lewis being pissed. Hopefully the Schotty comes up with something to protect the Kid in his first game.
Chad is a strong willed and determined football player. He WILL be on the field on Sunday, either: OR
Kind of reminds me of Foley going against the Ravens way back when. I think If Clemens starts we will see a much different game plan Vs. A Chad start. (Who knows maybe a ball thrown down feild or two?) I also know for a fact that we will be more creative in generating a pass rush then last week. Sending the safties or The shifting D-line formations like we were attempting in the playoff game! I cant stand it when a coaching staff keeps; albeit a 2nd year rookie under control. Just let him throw it ! Give him the game plan and see if he can execute!
"It's the ankle. We'll keep looking at it as the week progresses." Or something to that effect. He's definitely got the Belichik no information-information process down.
When Mangini addresses it, he will say along the lines of this.... Press: "Will Chad be able to go Sunday?" Mangini: "We know Chad has a lower leg injury. He's a tough, smart QB who gives us a chance to win when he plays" Press: "But will Chad be playing Sunday" Mangini: "I just answered that question, next"
I can see Clemens having an amazing game and then the jury being out for Pennington I hope not, I think Chad will come good this year
If he does, then Mangini is looking for an excuse to go with KC. No way CP makes it out of that Ravens game without hurting himself more then he already is. The stupid thing is Chad will play if they let him, although he really should sit out this week, its the safe thing to do at this point.
