Smith is actually playing LB in some of the nickel sets that Pettine and Ryan installed, and he does it very well. He was playing LB when he got that pick covering Johnson. Coleman surprised me a lot yesterday. He wasn't Toast like I had gotten used to. It's amazing what one offseason can do. Cornerback went from out thinnest unit on defense to our deepest. Lowery did get picked on a lot, I don't think he's ready to start. But if Sheppard comes back, DL could come in to spell him on plays and not be terribly bad.
