Eric Smith appreciation thread!

    I'm not so sure Eric Smith should be fined. He didn't launch himself & Welker positioned his body to lead w/ the helmet. I thought if runner leads w/ helmet then it's OK (assuming defender doesn't launch himself).

    Gotta admit, they definitely showed some heart by bouncing right back up & being ready to play.

    Speaking of the OSK plays, the Jets really need to work on this. They could have lost both of those yesterday. It seemed like they were sitting back and waiting for the ball to come to them. Smith was clutch on the play, fortunately the ball bounced right to him.

    Eric Smith is a beast. His tackling and hitting is just fun to watch. His special teams play is insanely good. Too bad that he's a free agent.

    Not to mention Cromartie and Holmes came from that draft and eventually found their way on to the Jets.
