Also known as a trap game. Plus, the Jets have never beaten the Eagles. Ever. I think the Jets will pull out a win, but I don't think it will be easy necessarily.
Never beating the Eagles has absolutely nothing to do with whatever happens this weekend. Its been 2 games and we have been disrespected all offseason. If they cant get up to play against the Eagles at home then they have problems that have nothing to do with it being a "trap game".
In terms of a trap game, all I mean is that the Jets shouldn't overlook it as an easy win. Coming off of 2 wins on a short week and facing a winless team that doesn't look anything special will make it easy to prepare a bit less than usual. I have confidence in Bowles ensuring that doesn't happen, but after the era of Rex Ryan, a loss next week would certainly qualify as a trap game.

In addition to Decker, Chris Owusu suffered a leg injury and is out again for 2 weeks. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2015/09/jets_get_good_news_about_eric_deckers_knee_injury.html Through the first two games, the Jets have played Owusu and Brandon Marshall outside, and Decker in the slot, when lining up in three-receiver sets. So Owusu's injury is not insignificant. He played 52 of 69 snaps against the Colts, after getting 40 of 61 against the Browns.
i dont see any of those as being reasons why kerley should play. "kerley was drafted by the jets" who cares? so was dewayne robertson and vernon gholston. "kerley was our only player when our offense sucked hard" again, who cares? being the best of a group of awful players doesnt make you good. Kerley is about as h0-hum as it gets. he works hard, but he doesnt deserve to be getting snaps due to a lack of talent, which is why he hasnt been on the field. he cant come close to filling deckers shoes. decker is better in basically every facet.
disagree,i think we do. our offense might be in trouble otherwise. they are solid vs the run, and can afford to double/triple marshall if decker is not on the field.
this game shouldnt be looked at as an easy win regardless. they have alot of talent on that team despite a poor start. and if we are short decker thats a big loss for us
