How many balls did Mathew Hatchette catch in the NFL? What were his peak seasons? Did you just make the comparison to troll us or was there some thought behind the process? The thought process that I discern at work here is SOJF. Is that wrong?
I can see it now. Decker being double teamed. Decker vs Revis twice a year. People are soon going to realize that Decker is not a number 1 guy.
Man some of you guys crack me up? If hes a number 1 then its a bad move? Did any of you guys watch this team last year? With Kerley on the roster this allows a team that had a rookie qb and NO weapons have 2 legit guys and in a draft heavy WR position allows them to go for a 3rd guy. Man, its not like they paid 10 million a year for a guy that had over 80 receptions the past 2 years. Wow...a bit surprised at the reaction to getting this guy. Wait until he drops his first pass this year and then tell me? All you brilliant gms out there tell me where you would spend the money we have on an offense that was borderline division 2. Yeah..the draft right? You guys wanted to use 3 picks on receivers to fill the roster?
Not too worried, Elway and Co. have known how to structure contracts so that they don't get into a cap death spiral that forced the Cowboys to give them a chance to get Ware. Who knows what will happen when PFM retires but I doubt they will go completely into the toilet. Remember, Elway and Fox went 8-8 their first year with Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow.
Eh. I'm pretty blah about the signing. Solid receiver and a fair deal but nothing to get excited about. I'd like it a lot more if we get a game breaker type on the other side. Give me Hakeem Nicks if we can also get him at a bargain rate. I'd bet a lot of money he'll have a big comeback season next year.
Not bad. Hopefully he can be a decent option for us. Is 1,000 yards 7 Tds asking too much of him? We shall see
Their backup QB is a pretty legit prospect. I think the name is Osweiler. he'll get a chance to step in and start most likely.
Well then for f#$% sake lets not play any receivers against Revis this year right? Seriously, who should we have signed to BURN Revis this year?
Revis shuts down everybody. Decker is a better or as good #1 WR than: Stevie Johnson Julian Edelman Mike Wallace Torrey Smith Cecil Shorts Kendall Wright Keenan Allen Rod Streeter Greg Jennings Jordy Nelson Steve Smith Golden Tate Chris Givens All of whom were their team's #1 WRs last year.
I'm actually a bit worried that his contract may end when Manning retires. They may have to give him an extension beforehand. Anyway, off to bed for now but I may check in tomorrow if anyone has some Decker questions.
