Wow.....hopefully not a career issue here. Gotta be a significant disc problem or small fracture. Ugh. Damn shame cause this guy can be a beast.....similar to sharpe and bolden. Edit - just read the story, disc. Crap.
New York Jets @nyjets Bowles: Enunwa has a bulging disc. A second opinion will likely indicate surgery & a 6-9 month recovery. Considered not career threatening.
We all know the young WRs have been struggling in camp. We also know that it often takes WRs a year or two to develop. They've been having trouble getting open and dropping passes, but I'm sure that a lot of it has to do with learning the new and complex offense, and Stewarthaving missed a lot of time this spring, and Enunwa missed OTAs and mini-camp, I believe. If they sign Boldin or some vet FA now, I don't think it would say one thing about the youth movement. They lost the guy they were counting on to be their #1 WR, and there's not another WR on the roster that is a #1 type, except for maybe Charone Peake, and he didn't show that much last year, and has been pretty invisible this year (at least according to reports from OTAs, minicamp and now TC. Going with the youth movement was something that needed to happen. Personally, I probably would have kept Decker as a safety blanket and a mentor for the young WRs, but he may not have been projected to be completely 100% for a while, or they may not have liked his comments about Petty and Fitz. Unless the young WRs step up in a hurry, they definitely need to sign someone if they hope to be able to adequately evaluate Hack and Petty this season and/or develop them.
Yeah great, give our young QB's a green WR core and a horrible offensive line. They clearly don't think Hack or Petty is the answer if they're going to surround them with this kind of crap where they have zero chance. Here you go kids, prove yourself with the 32nd best WR core in the league and a bottom five o-line. Guess that's one way to prevent INT's, make sure they can't get the ball out of their hands in the first place and have no open receivers to throw to.
Right. A good dude who was an emerging talent and leader. Maybe Adams will go down and we'll get a look at Middleton too... SMFH
Maybe they can talk Calvin Johnson out of retirement. Of course that would require some kind of compensation to the Lions. As long as I'm dreaming maybe they'll sign me too.
Guy has played with 2 rookie QBs in his first 2 seasons, and avg'd 17 YPC in his rookie season while in Tennessee. So, a 24 year old with a high potential ceiling, and next to nothing in salary. Or a 34 year old coming off an ACL tear, or a 31 YO coming off meniscus replacement? Pickings are slim, the team is obviously going nowhere fast. Take a gamble.
Emerging talent and leader yes, good dude? Questionable. Good Dudes don't beat the shit out of their girlfriend.
Our offense really might be all time bad, this isn't hyperbole anymore cause were really lacking in that department with Enunwa being the best player on offense on our team in my opinion. This sucks really wanted to see him step up and be that #1 for us this year
Yeah it's new this year. Sept 3 I believe 4 pm. Owners wanted it. I don't get it personally. Less reps to go around. Better teams like the Pat's will use it to their advantage, the Jets , probably try to get 88 guys reps up to the deadline, leaving Hack n Petty out of the rotation......
