So when we lose 31-14 this week, can we return to the "Fire Gase" rhetoric?

Nah. I like the Fire Gase rhetoric. Awful coach who is potentially ruining our FQB and just lost to a team trying their best to lose games. If you want to feel sorry for Gase be my guest, but he doesn’t get a pass for the shit stain this season has become. Christ what a nightmare season this has been.

    - Franchise QB has mono week 1; misses half the year so far, still not fully healthy/ normal

    - Lose backup QB in first start for the season

    - Lose 2 great starting linebackers before week 1 game is over for the year

    - Worst oline in the league loses their starting left guard and left tackle for most of the season becoming a literal clown unit...can’t run the ball with a pro bowl running back, can’t pass block basic plays consistently

    - Worst cornerback unit in the NFL

    - Zero pass rushers on the roster

    - Even the kicker situation was a joke going into the season

    - Team has zero depth to speak of

All while playing probably the toughest schedule in the league to start the season (has to be top 3 if not 1)

You can add Gase to the shitlist and I wouldn’t even argue but the anger is misguided

This team was doomed to fail from the start and had some terrible circumstances to go along with it to really nail the coffin shut because we’re the Jets

It has been a disaster. But the Saints also lost their starting HOF QB for 5 games and their best playmaker has been injured and relatively ineffective this year, while their #2 option in Jared Cook (behind Thomas) has also been in and out of the lineup.

I understand that they've been relatively healthy the rest of the way and obviously have drafted way better than is for the last decade, but injuries don't always pave the way for an excuse for the majority of our games being over at half time.

Or maybe it does because the depth is that terrible. Idk. It's frustrating either way and there's really no excuse for losing to the Fish.

I don't want to fire Gase.

I want Gase to quit of his own accord, and to do so immediately.

Losing to the winless Dolphins makes your summary moot. In my opinion.

Oh, btw, most of that list held true with Bowles as HC. Yet, our offense NEVER looked as bad under Bowles as it has CONSISTENTLY looked under Gase.

The only people that deserves more blame for this clown shoe team is ownership.

That shouldn't stand in the way of the problem that is Gase though.

I'm not gonna give him a pass just because ownership of this team is worse.
