Fields sucks. It’s obvious. But why in the world are we playing him under center? This guy can’t take his eyes off the field, he has no business running a traditional pro offense. He should be in RPO rollouts with 1 or 2 pass options and if they’re not open, run.
They only point he should have tried to prove is that they were wrong. Instead, he proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that the comments were spot on and then some. He does not belong on the field, and if AG persists playing him, neither does he.
Per @NextGenStats, the Jets average time to sack today is 5.76 seconds. Only one team in the league is above 5.5 on the season, and the league average is 4.63 seconds. This isn't a line problem, it's a Fields and coaching problem.
I say coaching because when your QB sucks at throwing but runs like a deer then RPOs seem lime the obvious solution. Nothing is obvious with these morons.
Not to beat a dead horse, but frustration with this team is unbearable. You could have pretty much watched any game today and on both sides a QB that when on the field gives you some hope that he can hit the target on stride. But not us, not even close. He is completely and absolutely lost out there. He can’t see open targets, can not anticipate the route and he is never on target. He does not belong in the NFL and if the HC can’t immediately see that he doesn’t belong either.
I agree with most of what you have here but don't see any reason this would be the team they, or anyone, would want.
100% He NEVER throws to where the receiver WILL be…he’s always late throwing to where the receiver IS, and then half the time he’s off target because the receiver is actually, you know, moving I hate Fields … he is a TERRIBLE QB…right there with Zach…we had to endure years of that shit and here we are again
I think Justin Fields is a good QB. So Jets can stay at #1 spot for the next few years, draft any would-be-sure-fire QB prospect, and ruin his life. (Archie, are you trembling in your boots yet?)
