Stop it. The Jets lost the last three games that they should have won. This is not a young up-and-coming team that is scratching out close games, falling short, and learning how to win. This is a bloated collection of talent that doesn't mesh well together, isn't cohesive, is poorly coached, has no fundamental football IQ, and gave all three games away. Losing three games by a total of 10 points when you absolutely should have won a minimum of two of them, and could and probably should have won all three is not reason for encouragement. It's a testament to their incompetence.
If I am not mistaken he had a tenure here as Jets coach lol (1994) No joke but some you guys might have been toddlers back then aha Left the jets for Pats and USC Trojans ..eventually Seattle and had a SB team Does he want the job?? actually who in the NFL universe wants this job??? Fate can be cruel … sigh
He didn't "leave" the Jets. The Fake Spike game started the Jets on a downward spiral where they were seconds away from being 7-4_and in first place, and instead they lost out and finished the year 6-10. Then they fired him to bring in the one and only Rich Kotite.
Have to remember, Woody is 77 now. He’s probably wondering if he’ll be alive at the end of a successful rebuild. His own damn fault for hiring all the wrong people and meddling in football matters, of course. Seriously, if Woody wasn’t born rich he could have worked all his adult life at Denny’s and never even made shift manager.
Worst part of this is that we are doubling down on winning now and we will have no future. Talent can be upgraded, but that isnt the problem. The problem is stupidity. How many games are lost on penalties - that is coaching and smarts. How on earth does an NFL kicker miss TWO chippies in one game ? Is another kicker even being brought in to compete this week ? If we lose 2 or more of the next four, we need to tear it down and start trading for draft picks. I said pre-season and I say again, it is insanity to predict that the Jests win anything until they win something. That applies to playoff spot, division title, conference title, or dont make me puke - Super Bowl.
