I have experienced the horrible 1989, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2003, 2005, and 2007 seasons. I put 2012 up against any of them on the misery scale. We will see how this season finishes, but for me this one might take the cake. The post game press conferences from Sanchez and Ryan are an added bonus.
We don't get on their level till we win 3 more titles... Yeah we share a stadium but they have all the bragging rights we can't even win a preseason game against them. Plus we got Joe Namath always talking trash which is ridiculous
What does getting on their level have to do with anything? NFL is a here and now league. We play them once every 4 years and its a forced rivalry. I have many other teams I dislike before the Giants come into play. I guess that's why we differ on this
We never had the media and analyst against us in those seasons as well which is like gasoline on a fire
Well, there is another team that shares a stadium - they're called the Giants. They won the Super Bowl last year while sharing a stadium, so I really don't see the evidence that sharing a stadium is such a terrible thing to do. I am no more embarrassed by the pathetic performance of the Jets than I would be proud if they played well. I had nothing to do with them playing so poorly, and anyone who would make fun of me for their shortcomings is a fool. I sure don't like it when they play like this, but it ultimately has nothing to do with me one way or the other. The only response necessary to anyone who says "The Jets suck" is "Yes, they certainly do."
I have been though bad years before but I can't remember an embarrassment on National TV like this. These Jets are a complete joke. It like watching a high school team. At this point, Anyone without the name Revis on their back can hit the door.
You have to admit Reese does a hell of a job picking up players it's like the Giants lose players and gain them right back ... They are able to scout talent and bring in players who can contribute and make plays when necessary. Some call in luck but I think it takes more than that. They have been one of few to have the recipe for the Pats. To the point where they get BB upset which you rarely see
The worst part , in terms of being a fan is how big of a joke we are. People don't take us serious. When I told someone I was a jets fan today he said , "Ouch , sorry man , you guys are in rough shape". Not news to me or him but listening to some of you on here is crazy. I can't believe some of you actually bought into Rex. Can't believe some if not most actually thought sancheeze was a franchise QB. You guys are homers. It's hurting this team bc it allows this terrible owner to feed us dogshit like Rex , sancheeze and Tanny. This team just sux from top to bottom. We learn absolutely nothing from the Pats who have dominated us for 12 years. Just owned us. I'm so jealous of them. A great owner , coach and QB who don't operate like a circus. They draft well , they just do things the right way. It's sad when you have no shot at the division. Nobody takes us serious.
Sadly, there are some comparable ones. 1986 MNF 3-45 at Miami 1995 SNF 10-47 vs Oakland 2010 MNF 3-45 at New England
That is exactly why PSL's are bullshit... you can collect all that cash and then put a shitty product in the field and you don't care because you just made out like a bandit.
I can top that pain by saying to think once upon a time BB was the Jets Head Coach and Quit after a day.... He must of seen that he didn't have control of the franchise and couldn't shape it like he wanted.. Nobody just up and says I don't want to be a head coach of this organization. Plus you had to believe in 2009 and 2010 that we were on the right track. Where we went wrong is we never invested in the Oline after Faneca and Woody left
That's because they like the Steelers, Ravens and Broncos have ownership who get it. Yes each has their down years from time to time but for the most part it's usually the same 3 or 4 teams in the AFC playing in January. The Giants are a perfect blueprint on how to build a team, granted they fleeced the Chargers for Manning and his father's crybaby bullshit certainly helped but look at the guys they draft, they make smart cap friendly moves not name over pay moves.
Yeah that's the truth... They don't reach when they don't have to especially for unproven players. We need a major overhaul
