How was that "cute"? It was a perfectly executed PA pass after we had established the run. That's what your supposed to do: run, run, run, PA pass, run some more.
I think it would have been 'cute' if the game had been close, but it was just a smart playcall to take advantage of a team that wasn't really emotionally in the game from the start. It was another example of the Jets just dominating an inferior opponent. Same with the Weatherford fake punt.
sanchez didn't target Clowney? and did he not make a great TD throw? what do you mean we don't have a QB to get others the ball?
There were a LOT of Jets on that field last week putting less than stellar effort into a lot of game aspects....... he sure wasn't alone.......
Your right...that wasn't cute.....that's a fairly common designed TE play that was executed about as good as you can do it....
The Jets were running to the opposite side of Edwards a lot after a few errors, like the blown bubble screen that got Leon pasted in the backfield. He was that bad. They ended up lining Wright in the slot on outside runs and he was a very effective run blocker in open space.
I think the biggest difference in Edwards, is also the reason he is doing the little things, which he really stopped doing in Cleveland. Edwards actually could give two shits about NY. He is playing inspired ball like he wants to be here. He is doing more than his fair share of work, and he damn sure is playing better than he did in Cleveland. Also I think he buys into what Rex is doing/ saying, unlike with what he listened to from Mangini. Heck I also think he is truly happy to have a real NFL QB to work with for the first time in his career as well. He knows he is in a good spot on an up and coming team, and is playing like he wants to be the best receiver in football.
i cant wait to see braylon and j co against the dolphins secondary. In game 1 braylon was practicing for 1 week and j co was injured. If cotch is healthy enough to play and braylon can repeat his first performance against the dolphins our offesne should do well.
Sanchez's job will be alot easier if we can run the ball they way we did the last two weeks. The kid should not be in a position where we need him to win the game. If Greene can stay healthy, he and Jones should be a formidable 1-2 punch.... I think this will be especially important as the weather gets colder....Sanchez is a So Ca kid he has not played in the weather he is about to play in this winter....We have to run the ball...
edwards still beat up on the fins after being a jet for 5 days. Now its been 3 weeks, and he'll be facing rookie CBs. time to feast.
