If the Jets go edge rusher in the first round, give me one of Fowler, Dupree or Beasley. If the Jets want to wait until a little later, give me Hunter from LSU.

Didn't watch much college football this past season but I am a gators fan and love fowler. A serious quistion because I am not knowledgeable enough to make the comparison, What makesGregory a better pick them fowler

I read an article that was highlighting how pass rushers who win with power are much more valuable and successful in the NFL over speed demons.

For that alone I'd pick Fowler over any other pass rusher. Dude's hands are violent are fuck.

Beasley is your man. Unreal strength (36 reps) plus the speed (4.53) to boot. Very productive pass rusher in college too, not just a combine warrior. For comparison, I think Gregory repped 20 or so, same for Fowler, both running in the 4.6 range. Beasley definitely helped his stock at the combine in what looks to be a pretty strong draft for pass rushers.

Maybe I'm just buying into the hype, but I think Beasley has pushed himself into a top-6 if not top-5 draft pick. I could see the Titans and Jags both heavily considering taking him at their picks.

Only problem I have with Beasley is his arm length, probably helped him with a few reps on the bench press. His production at Clemson was incredible though ending his career with the most sacks of any player in school history. I think he probably pushed himself up into the top half of the first round, at the least. I'm pretty sure Scout Inc. gave him a 2nd Round grade so that's a pretty huge draft stock boost and there's still time left. Beasley is very good prospect, no doubt. I'd love to see him in green and white. He should be right there in the conversation with Gregory, Fowler, and Ray.

Wow this is an incredible class for edge rushers, at least in the top of the first round. If we decide to go in that direction, we will get someone great.

Based on what I've read about Beasley, isn't he supposed to struggle vs the run, i.e. in setting the edge?

If the Titans or the Jags (esp. the Titans) ever considered taking Beasley over USC DT Leonard Williams they should have their heads examined. Tampa Bay's need for a QB will probably have them picking Winston at #1 but Williams is clearly the best football player in this draft. Too quick for OGs, strong enough to beast vs. OTs, this guy's the closest to "can't miss" in this year's draft. Rare talent.

Not in the least. At least as far as his college tape and production goes. Though it is possible he could have trouble saying the edge in the NFL due to a lack of ideal arm length.

Can't see any scenario where Williams gets out of the first three picks.

I have heard the same knocks on Beasley -- for whatever it's worth -- that he could be limited to being a situational pass rusher, that he gets engulfed in the run game...

I think people are worried because he has short arms, so he might have more trouble getting off blocks in the NFL.
