I don't want to derail this thread into a Ghost shitfest, but it REALLY says a lot about that guy that even Rex couldn't make a football player out of him. Rex somehow gave Coleman an identity on this defense, and turned him into a player that seems to make one or two big plays a game now.

Fuck Gholston, what a sack of shit

Great game today, and I hope he keeps it up.

I think Coleman has been solid all year. I have been defending him for a while. The guy is not great in coverage but he is a good blitzer and good tackler.

He's been a great pass rusher and a great tackler. Shit corner but good football player. There's a role on Rex's defense for him, just not with a defined position.

    Pittsburgh delenda est.

Could not have said it better. I remember bringing one of my friends to a preseason game against Philly last year. He didn't know much about football and I remember bitching to him, "you see number 30? He sucks!" Certainly he is not very good in coverage but he has improved and made up for it in every other facet of the game. I will gladly eat this crow.

I've been one of his harshest critics. He was great today and has carved a niche in this defense.

Coleman had a fantastic day and considering the fact that he was playing hurt... major props. He was as much to blame for our win as anyone.

Coleman was a bullet on blitzes and has been amazing. Surprising that he's not bigger on special teams. Still, when used properly, he's been good.

    1. He's been atleast an average nickel CB all year. We could certainly get better past Revis/Crom but our pass D has been solid and a chunk of it is because of him progressing. He probably was the most improved player on the roster from last season.

    2. Agreed. I saw Kyle Wilson playing quite a few times but I'm not sure how much he actually played. Also, I never saw him get thrown at so I'd like to assume he played great.

I don't remember seeing KDub on the field but it's tough to pay attention to the details at the bar.

Coleman was incredible. Brady is so damn lucky that he managed to duck right before Coleman got there because he would've been laid out.

From watching Coleman getting beat in coverage, I was so upset he still was on this roster. Glad to say I'm wrong & that just goes to show how amazing Rex is. He does more than make players like him, he's got the ability to define roles & get contributions from anyone .... no matter what they're weaknesses are.

Here's the thing about Coleman that surprised me... He was on Welker most of the game and he shut him down. Just absolutely destroyed him. I think the book on the Pats WR's is out. Be physical with them and put smaller guys on them because they're too small to do anything about it.

Man they did something because it got so bad that coleman just leveled welker on his last possession for almost no gain after the catch.

Once i saw welker getting pushed around by people like taylor and scott I knew this was gonna be waaaay different this game. Even woodhead caught some when he ran that type of route.

Coleman had a career game yesterday. The only plays he fucked up on was the fumble recovery and a few coverages.

He needs to bring this next week
