How come we dont see anything from coleman anymore? not that he was good or anything but he started for us then it seems like i dont ever even hear his name.
Make no mistake, this hurts. Dyson has been very good at Left Corner this year, he's good in run support and has good cover skills, i'm very happy with his play. If the Jets play Indy at least Dyson has familiarity with Harrison and Wayne, but if it's Barrett we're in trouble... He's been so solid at left corner and now this has to happen.
I think Dyson gets burned a lot just look at the first TD in the Minn game. Not that big of a lose in my book.
Dyson has shut down Harrison, Chambers, Johnson(Garbage time yardage), Muhammad, Driver, and Braylon Edwards. Yes he's given up some plays to Chad Jackson, Travis Taylor, Reche Caldwell, I think in the 1st meeting with Buffalo he gave up one to Lee Evans, but that's pretty much it man. Mind you, this guy isn't really a Left Corner, he's better suited for the Right side, and he's been good this season, you can't take that away. He's probably the best CB the Jets have had since Aaron Glenn...Don't sell me on Abraham, Beasley, and although Barrett had a pretty solid 2004, Dyson has been better.
So is Poteat covering the number 1 guy? I don't like that. He's not quick enough to handle Moss in one on one situations. His specialty is tackling, not really speed down the field. We will have to keep Rhodes in for safety help, this will effect the pressure we can get on the QB from a safety blitz. The line will have to step it up as well as the secondary.
Miller will be on the 1 guy. Barrett/Poteat/Coleman on the 2/3/4 in no particular order. Moss isn't playing on Sunday. The secondary will take a hit but it could be worse. The Jets have been pretty lucky injury-wise this season.
Rich Cimini of the Daily News says he is out 2-4 weeks. Jets site has him as questionable. http://jets.scout.com/2/605081.html
