Picked up by Dylan Donahue who's driving the wrong way. Donahue is driving the wrong way! And he's driving it into the Lincoln Tunnel the wrong way, thinks he's scored a touchdown. He has scored a DWI!
Ssshhhh. You're in danger of stopping the woe is me, the Jets are so fucking bad, flow of the thread.
Same guys criticizing the Jets for drafting this guy also crying the Jets should have traded for Peters and are big Baker Mayfield fans.
He is small and skinny, but even 4 beers over 2+ hours of playing video games and he blew a .15. Opened my eyes to how easy it is to fail a breathalizer.
Maybe as a team-building exercise during training camp, the Jets can have a drag race down Columbia Turnpike in Florham Park. Hopefully, someone will point Dylan "Wrong-Way Corrigan" Donahue in the right direction. Sheldon would definitely be the early favorite.
Apparently this wasn't Donahue's first DWI - he was arrested after blowing a .137 in Billings , MT (his hometown) last May, a month after he was drafted by the Jets. He had struck a parked car and flipped his SUV over. Got a feeling we won't be seeing him wearing the old green and white this year. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2018/03/dylan_donahue_arrested_for_dui_in_may_after_jets_d.html
So much for Mac claiming he doesn't take guys w. character concerns. Seems the only time he avoids off the field issues is if they are w. high profile players or highly publicized controversies. That's not to say every other GM doesn't do the same thing.. but he should can the holier than thou draft philosophy. Mauldin,Anderson(UDFA) & now Donahue..
A DUI isn't good, but imo, it's not the same as a player who has been arrested for stealing, punching his wife/girl friend, assaulting someone, etc.
Donahue sounds like a straight up alkie. Might've been tough to pick up on that. Glad he didn't hurt anybody else. He's really derailing himself, he had a chance to play. Anderson has some issues.
The nature of these incidents is especially disturbing. The next time, this guy could easily wind up dead or in jail for vehicular homicide. In the Lincoln Tunnel incident, he allegedly drove the wrong way in the tunnel and crashed into a bus, injuring several people. His BAC was reported at 0.15%. In the Montana incident, he allegedly hit a parked truck and flipped his SUV. His BAC was reported at 0.137% If he didn't learn anything from the first incident, which he was lucky to walk away from, why should the Jets have any confidence that he'll learn anything from the second incident? Also, his reported readings were high, but not astronomical. You have to wonder if anything else was impairing his faculties.
Per PFT, he's now in rehab. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...o-treatment-facility-after-two-duis/#comments For his sake, I hope it's legitimate and not damage control.
