Well said... Why is this guy such a reach?? And who defines the term "reach" anyway? It's all in the eye of the beholder.

Maybe we didn't take Carl Nicks due to character concerns for example. I trust scouts who study these guys for a living and did the research rather than myself or anyone else. Plus Mangini is a DB guy. I'm sure he saw something he liked here.

The man is a defensive playmaker, which is what we need. 13 picks in 25 games!!

Have faith in who we pick. I do...

The problem is that 99% of this site wants to just look at Kiper list and act like that's the gospel. According to that, the Jet shouldn't have a scouting dept. They should just print Mayocks or Kipers list and tick it off.

I don't dislike the pick, but I'd feel better about it if the "Branch>King>Trade Down" sequence of events never happened.

wow, unbelievable ball-skills and has excellent instincts. reminds me of asante, actually. i think he could be an effective corner in our system, especially if we have a decent pass-rush. he'll probably start out as a nickle back to cover the slot guy and maybe work his way over to #2 corner. he could be a decent free-safety, but i can't help but feel like his value comes in large part in reading receivers in front of him.

the dustin keller trade now looks a lot better. essentially we traded our 2nd and 4th for gb's 1st and 5th. (move up 7, move down 60)

after watching some highlight vids, and watching that draft-guys video. I really think that he can be a star at safety, and a solid nickel/dime corner...

Funny you should say that. After watching all his videos I think they got him just to cover Welker. This guy isn't a starter (tiny), but he's Ray Mickens part 2. Can we really bitch about getting another Mickens in round 4?

Pure athlete. If you have ball skills it means you are at least in on the play. I like it.

And you know what else, if he pans out and the Pats corner draftee doesn't then it's like getting TWO corners.

I have had the pleasure of watching Dwight train in the gym I own for over 2 years. This guy does whatever it takes to improve his craft. There have been times when he was in the gym past midnight running drills and watching game film. His stats went down this year beacause there were less balls thrown his way. I can't speak highly enough of this guy. His work ethic is among the best I've ever seen and he is a student of the game and his postion.
