If Freeney came on the cheap, I don't see how it could be that bad an idea. We need a pass rush and with more 4-3 looks coming, he could definitely have some value. It's not a bad idea to have some veteran leadership on the defense either, we know we'll be lacking it with all the cuts. You don't want everyone on your team to be too young.
I say no way, Lets just start with a clean slate and let the new guys get some playing time and see what we have. If he thinks we have a chance this year then he is crazy. We need to manage our cap and start to really look to the future. For once I am excited to see the JETS going in the right direction. DONT CHANGE NOW.
