people are just bitching because a TE pick has killed the jets over the years.

my god wake up and realize that there are guys who are good at the TE position. He is a serious offensive threat

He's really not a tight end. He was drafted for the passing game. He can run down the seems and completely change our offensive giving Coles and Cotchery more room to work. In addition the linebackers and safeties will have to move back just a little more giving the running backs more room to work. This guys speed/size/hands combo could completely change the offense. Everyone is pissed get over it.

Watch his highlight video on youtube and make your own damn analysis then...

It's not hard to tell that he's a hell of a playmaker.

    Stop calling picks.

    Duhh...what?

We should've stayed at 36, what has Coles done to assure you he'll be healthy for the next 2 11 million dollar years? What has any of WR's 3-6 done to assure anyone of our depth? Here's to Wallace Wright and Chansi Stuckey I guess.

This guy was the best receiver on the board even though he is a tight end.

    IMO

They are banking on the idea that Keller can provide WR numbers from the tight end position. If he is as good as they hope I don't see how anyone can say we were fine with Baker. He would be a significant upgrade over Baker, who honestly is not nearly as good as he is made out to be on this board.

He's a TE but he looks pretty athletic and looks like a good receiver. Time will tell on this one, but Jets + TE + First Round probably won't go over very well with many people.

As far as the trade up, my only thinking is that they might have feared the Giants picking him up because of the Shocky situation.

It's his HIGHLIGHT video. Did you see the play where he was covered up the seam and didn't make the catch that somehow made it onto NFL Network's coverage?

You hit the nail on the head Jetfanmack. We have had luck in the past in the fourth round and I just don't know at this current time if trading up was something I wanted to see. Obviously we won't know if this was worthwhile for quite some time but for right now I'm a bit upset about it.

That may be what happens to him when he fucks with Mangini but 4-12 is what happens to us when Mangini fucks back.

we already gave one away to move up so we only have 1 left. I don't think that will get you a second rounder

Every NFL team has guys doing that, and many of them fail. I'm skeptical about this pick, I've watched the Pats draft TEs in the early rounds a lot and it always ends up getting them nothing but 10 tight ends.

from what i heard this dude is like a mixture of kellen winslow and antonio gates. Basically a great playmaker. Let alone this guy play WR too. so he could shift or fill slot plays

Why didn't we get Chris Long if we were going to waste picks on guys we liked more than the ones we were sitting at?

I guess the FO is all shits and giggles over Gholston after all

I do see that... but I'd liek to see them get a WR that has some height and can stretch the field as well. You know, a WR that is taller than my nephew, who is 12 ;)

The Pats tend to draft big TE's who can play in a lot of packages. Keller is Doug Jolley sized and can't.
