Except for that play in the end zone when he let McCairins use his uniform, he was unreal. He's way more than I hoped for. Just a great draft pick...
I suspect that after his performances over the last few weeks that the number of folks bitching about us trading up to get him in the late 1st had dropped dramatically.
I'll admit, I didn't like the pick at the time and was WRONG! Unfortunately my opinion of Gholston being drafted hasn't been off the mark...... yet
most reports I heard said that the Giants were waiting for this kid and the Shockey trade was inevitable. The jump in front of them had to be done. I compare it to the jump in front of PIT for Revis. He might be a Revis caliber TE.... wow.
Last night's game kinda makes you wish we had taken Mayo instead, huh? That kid's the real deal. Very good chance that he could be DROY.
I agree ... When they drafted him thought WTF ? ... But after reading up on him and seeing what he can do ... I think we got a keeper for many years to come
I had the nfl.com live feed last night to keep track of individual stats. Keller stuck out like a sore thumb by the end of the night. Good to see, absolutely.
What's thrilling is that this kid will only get better. And Favre LOVES tight ends. If Favre actually stays for the full 2 years, he can really help turn this kid into a true superstar for whoever our next QB will be.
Yep what a game he had and hes been amazing lately. Hes a rookie and he looks like one of the best TEs in the league.
I've been trying to tell you guys ... you guys are always agog about David Clowney, 4-5 receiver sets, all that stuff. I just dug up my reply to one such thread in week 2: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=947693&postcount=31
Keller is a beast. If he caught that dropped TD I think the game would have been over instead of us NYJETS fans sweating out in OT.
UGH!!! F'n Carl Banks on the FAN saying Keller was wide open... all he did was catch the ball... Why the fuck do we need the opinion of a Giant on this day?
Just watched the game again & have to give more props to Keller. He was stopped about two yards short of the first down if he went down on initial contact. What a great job by a rookie to have the awareness to know where he was on the field and where he needed to get to for the first down.
one thing I noticed in the preseason was this kid never wants to go down. I think it was the Giant game that he kept spinning out of tackles until 4 defenders had to take him down to the ground.
