lol i cant believe some of you guys are counting miller out.. he will be back in the starting lineup in the coming weeks.. everything i heard the orginazation is still very high on him. they just want to work on his technique.
He needs to work on more than his technique. He needs to work on his attitude. He's always jawing with opposing players after the ball is dead and it's going to lead to penalties eventually. He jumps on the ball too early and he bites on shoulder-jukes like no player I have ever seen. He may be working in the classroom, but he doesn't seem to be learning on the field.
yeah cause he is the only defensive player in the nfl that does that.i like my defensive players having attitude if we needed a bitch we would start eric coleman at cb. maybe vilma should stop jawing with opposing player too then.?. as for the problems u name what there cant be fixed? like i said to give up oon miller after his 1st 4 career starts. would be foolish. especially when our Dline would make any secondary look average.
im excited to see Drew Coleman starting. but i'm even more excited to see the CS realize this Offseason that it should try to pursue Asante Samuel. cheers
He's just not a smart player at this point. I watched him closely against the Colts and you're absolutely right, he has terrible instincts, and overcommits himself and can't recover despite his speed. He has all the tools, but I don't think he's going to cut it in the secondary, unless he improves his technique. About the only time I want to see Justin Miller on the field right now, is special teams.
Coming out of college Miller was known as a player that made great highlight film plays, but also made a lot of bonehead plays. It seems that his inconsistency has dropped him to 3rd string. I hope Coleman does fantastic, I think it's a great sign that Mangini has the confidence to start him. We'll see by the end of the game whether Mangini's belief in Coleman will pay off because the Jags will be going after him early and often.
Barrett went from a bargain to a player without a role mighty fast. Looking forward to seeing Drew Coleman today.
I made a thread about Miller at safety, considering he breaks on routes and can make a play after the pick, but got chewed out because of it. I think he'd be a fine safety, if he could learn to wrap and fucking tackle.
i wasn't one of those who chewed you out, but i'll admit i wasn't sure it was a good idea. now that i've watched Miller continually struggle, maybe if he learns to tackle, he'll make a good S, because he'd have blazing speed for a S. the only thing is, he has very bad recognition problems, and isn't that a major part of being a S? cheers
Ummm thanks but no thanks. In the numerous plays in which Miller has been burned this year, it's typically the safety who is bailing him out. If Miller turns safety, who's going to be backing him up? That's right, the invisible man. No thanks, it would already make a bad situation worse.
