I drafted three corners because it's a huge area of concern right now. bring them all in to compete, Colvin could also play safety if needed. question: what do we do with Coples, considering we stick with the 3-4? Ford and Barr would most likely be our starting OLB's. I don't like addressing WR so late. but nice job regardless.
I doubt they would really go front 7 in both of the early rounds. So it's kind of a moot question. Also, Zach does a million of these things, so I wouldn't take it overly serious. haha BTW, I only mean don't take it as news. Obviously Zach is a beast at these things.

1. Coples returns to DE rotation, which is his natural fit. 2. That's the expectation; Barr coming from the blind side, with Ford charging in from the strong side. 3. I was expecting to see Kevin Norwood at 6th round - so it was a bit of a surprise to see him gone. Devin Street and Kevin Norwood would have been a very good pick up for any draft. 4. As McCarron was gone by 4th round, the thought process on QB changed to watching Geno for a year. If he stinks up the joint this year, Jets can draft another QB next year.

Any one else notice that the sim is offering a lot fewer trades now, I rather like it much better now.
I did something a little different this time. I didn't go for score, I used the sim just to determine who was avail and possible trades. I tried to run this just as though I were drafting for real. I targeted certain groups of players in each round and If the player was there I took him. I did reach a couple times because either there was no trade offered, the value of the trade wasn't enough to risk losing "my guy", or the trade was going down too far and I figured I'd probably lose my guy. That said I only did one trade, with New Orleans in the 3rd, they offered their 3rd and 2 5ths...I almost didn't take it and almost went with Montcrief in the 3rd for value. Glad I didn't. The thing is, this draft is quite possible I think, other than Dri Archer being that low (I would have grabbed him sooner but the Sim wouldn't list him as someone to pick until the 5th). I'd almost sell my soul for this draft...almost. There is only one pick in this draft I don't like, I was kind of at a loss with what to do with one of my extra 5th round picks. I choose rather poorly with Brandon Thomas, I probably should have gone with Linder there. Dennard and Lee were BPA. Saw ASJ drop so i moved up in the third trading our 3, 5, 6, 7. Saw Lawrence drop so traded two 4ths to snag him. Picked solid potential starters or worst case depth at OG, TE, ILB, CB. Team actually looks scary (not to mention young) with geno/vick, cj2k/ivory, lee/decker/kerley, ASJ/cumberland. OG and FS might be weakest links but i think allen at FS and two out of turner/colon/winters/aboushi/campbell should emerge as a solid option. I understand we only come out with 8 picks compared to 12, but i think we still bring in a good amount of depth and upside.
