Much better options IMO, especially Yankey.

No TE pick in this one - but it looks just fine to me:

Except no pick for TE thing, this addresses most of the needs:

    OL [OT/OG]
    WR [x3]
    OLB [x2]
    Safeties [FS/SS]

Round 1 Pick 32 (SEA): Marqise Lee, WR, Southern California (A)
Round 2 Pick 17: Kyle Van Noy, OLB, Brigham Young (A-)
Round 2 Pick 32 (SEA): Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt (A-)
Round 3 Pick 5: Ahmad Dixon, SS, Baylor (A)
Round 3 Pick 7 (CLE): Seantrel Henderson, OT, Miami (Fla.) (A-)
Round 3 Pick 16: Chris Watt, OG, Notre Dame (A)
Round 3 Pick 21 (G.B.): Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU (A)
Round 4 Pick 6 (CLE): Kenny Ladler, FS, Vanderbilt (A)
Round 4 Pick 15: Jeremiah Attaochu, OLB, Georgia Tech (B+)
Round 4 Pick 21 (G.B.): Jeremy Hill, RB, LSU (A)
    Round 5 Pick 14: Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB, Nebraska (A)
Round 6 Pick 19: Demarcus Lawrence, DE, Boise State (A-)
    Round 7 Pick 18: Pat O'Donnell, P, Miami (Fla.) (A-)

lot of great talent in this one. I'm still trying to get down the perfect spot to draft these players to get the best overall score.

this draft started off good, then ended very badly. I had to post it though because of how many 3rd round picks I ended up getting. ridiculous.

I've found when you get that many trades you almost always get a lower score. I tend to get my best scores when I limit to getting 2-3 2nd's and 2-3 3rds with 1 or 2 4ths. My best score of 4307 came with only 2 trades in the entire draft, well 3 if you include having traded down once in the 7th (I wanted to see if I could get an A rating picking at #32 with my favorite 7th round RB...could only get a B+

I decided to try the OP's draft simulator tonight. The first 4 times, the only shot I had at drafting a WR without reaching was Jordan Matthews in the 2nd round in one of those. The rest of the time I was having to reach a bit for a WR in the 6th or 7th round.

Finally, on the last time at #18 I had a choice between Mike Evans, Eric Ebron and Teddy Bridgewater! Below is the draft. I'd take this in a NY minute even though I didn't get to address the FS or OG positions.

    R1 QB TEDDY BRIDGEWATER
    LOUISVILLE

    R2 WR DAVANTE ADAMS
    FRESNO STATE

    R3 CB LOUCHEIZ PURIFOY
    FLORIDA

    R3 WR JARED ABBREDERIS
    WISCONSIN

    R4 RB CHARLES SIMS
    WVU

    R5 ILB MAX BULLOUGH
    MICHIGAN STATE

    R6 TE CROCKETT GILMORE
    COLORADO STATE

    R7 OLB DEVON KENNARD
    USC

    Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 17: Odell Beckham, WR, LSU (A-)
Round 2 Pick 18 (MIA): Gabe Jackson, OG, Mississippi State (A-)
Round 2 Pick 31 (DEN): Adrian Hubbard, OLB, Alabama (A)
Round 3 Pick 5: Louchiez Purifoy, CB, Florida (A)

Round 3 Pick 17 (MIA): Ka'Deem Carey, RB, Arizona (A)
Round 3 Pick 31 (DEN): Arthur Lynch, TE, Georgia (A)
Round 4 Pick 2 (WASH): Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia (A)
Round 4 Pick 15: Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Eastern Illinois (A)
Round 4 Pick 16 (MIA): Craig Loston, SS, LSU (A)
Round 5 Pick 2 (WASH): Max Bullough, ILB, Michigan State (B-)
Round 5 Pick 14: Taylor Hart, DE, Oregon (D+)
Round 6 Pick 19: Kirby Van Der Kamp, P, Iowa State (A)
Round 7 Pick 2 (WASH): Tracy Moore, WR, Oklahoma State (F)
    Round 7 Pick 18: De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon (B-)

not the best score, but hit almost every position of need. Hart and Moore picks hurt my grade, but Hart is a projected 2-4 round guy so I didn't see a problem there. I like the combo of Beckham and Moncrief.

Round 1 Pick 32 (SEA): Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech (A-)
Round 2 Pick 22 (PHI): Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State (A) <- could have been Jordan Matthews. I just played the score game here.
Round 2 Pick 28 (CAR): Anthony Steen, OG, Alabama (A) <- The only good OG prospect remaining. Or I would have drafted KVN here.
Round 2 Pick 32 (SEA): Telvin Smith, OLB, Florida State (A-) <- Tried him out. Hubbard and Breslin were both available.
Round 3 Pick 5: Davante Adams, WR, Fresno State (B+)
Round 3 Pick 7 (CLE): Jackson Jeffcoat, DE, Texas (A)
Round 3 Pick 8 (MINN): Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia (B)
Round 3 Pick 16: Louchiez Purifoy, CB, Florida (A)
Round 3 Pick 24 (CINN): Kenny Ladler, FS, Vanderbilt (B+)
Round 3 Pick 32 (MINN): Jimmie Ward, SS, Northern Illinois (A)
Round 4 Pick 6 (CLE): Ka'Deem Carey, RB, Arizona (A)
Round 4 Pick 11 (DET): Jeremiah Attaochu, OLB, Georgia Tech (B)
Round 4 Pick 15: Joel Bitonio, OT, Nevada (B)
Round 5 Pick 14: Max Bullough, ILB, Michigan State (B+)
Round 6 Pick 19: Jordan Tripp, OLB, Montana (C+) <- This is a project pick - I was told Jets contacted him, so I chose to pick him up.
Round 7 Pick 18: Kirby Van Der Kamp, P, Iowa State (A)

They don't like my selection, but I'd say fuck'em. I know what this team needs better than they ever will.

I liked this draft a lot. I traded down quite a few times, and still got most of the kids I wanted to pick. End result is:

    TE/WRx2/RB/OG/OTx2

    OLBx3/ILB/FS/SS/CB/DE

AND a good punter pick. These were the area where Jets were hurting so badly in terms of talent AND depth. I don't know about others but I think this is about as good a draft as I have ever been involved. [And I didn't use too many of 5th round picks and below for depth either. All picks are 4th and above.]

P.S. I agree - if trading down reaches this level, it is definitely madden-esque.

    Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 20 (ARI): Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina (A)
Round 2 Pick 17: Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State (A)
Round 2 Pick 20 (ARI): Gabe Jackson, OG, Mississippi State (A-)

Round 6 Pick 19: Rashaad Reynolds, CB, Oregon State (A)
Round 7 Pick 18: Aaron Murray, QB, Georgia (A)

I like this draft. but I struggled with one pick. Breslin or Smith. I ended up choosing Breslin because he was a sure bet, but Telvin Smith could possibly be moved to safety in the NFL. Fleming got a D+, but I don't care. still love this draft.

Your score is: 3953 (Drafting Ability: B, Player Quality A, Future Draft Picks: N/A)

Round 6 Pick 19: Caraun Reid, DT, Princeton (A)
Round 7 Pick 18: Dri Archer, WR, Kent State (F)

this one is more outside the box. I know people would flip if we took Dennard, but there was nobody available that I wanted. got a lot of quality in the mid-to-later rounds. like Matthews/Moncrief combo. got two talented safeties and got some great pass rushing depth.

Round 5 Pick 14: Jaylen Watkins, CB, Florida (A)
Round 6 Pick 19: Terrance West, RB, Towson (A)
Round 7 Pick 18: David Fales, QB, San Jose State (A)

Couldn't trade down much. Didn't get enough offensive pieces. Restocked the defense all right, but it will be yet another painful season to watch Geno flubbing all the way.

    I'd prefer this instead:

Round 2 Pick 8 (MINN): Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington (A-)
Round 2 Pick 17: Kyle Van Noy, OLB, Brigham Young (A-)
Round 2 Pick 30 (N.E.): Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU (A)
Round 3 Pick 6 (JAX): Davante Adams, WR, Fresno State (B+)
Round 3 Pick 8 (MINN): Chris Watt, OG, Notre Dame (A-)
Round 3 Pick 16: Craig Loston, SS, LSU (A)
Round 3 Pick 29 (N.E.): JaWuan James, OT, Tennessee (B+)
Round 4 Pick 15: Jeremiah Attaochu, OLB, Georgia Tech (B+)
Round 4 Pick 18 (PITT): Chris Davis, CB, Auburn (B+)
Round 5 Pick 14: Jaylen Watkins, CB, Florida (B+)
Round 6 Pick 19: Terrance West, RB, Towson (A)
Round 7 Pick 18: Kirby Van Der Kamp, P, Iowa State (A)

it's amazing some of the gems you can find. I was running through the simulator once and got Stephon Tuitt as the 29th pick in round 2. I couldn't believe he was there. One time I also got Van Noy in the 4th.
