Draft Rumors

Happens every freakin year .. sad thing is, they were prospects I'm sure we valued. It's not like back in the day when prospects were able to kick their girlfriends down the stairs and then sweep them under the carpet until after the draft. Times have changed.

 

If we draft defense again I will be done...this team is such a pathetic joke at least give me Fournette or a QB

 

Technology..... Everything is out there for everyone to see instantly.
Labs are able to more accurately detect drugs, masking agents and tell if samples are dilute or doctored making it much harder to pass a piss test.
I don't think teams cared as much years ago if a player kicked his girlfriend down the stairs. No one would know. Now it's on the net ,in the news and everyone is aware before she reaches the bottom landing.
The positive side is prospects know this. If that's not enough to motivate them to keep out of trouble, do they deserve to make the $ millions ?

 

The team needs to take a player who will make an impact going forward. This draft is full of Defensive talent. If the best player available when they draft is on offense, that's who will be picked. Looking at the prospects, it will more likely be a DB.
If your a fan, you will be back. Next year you just may get the QB in the draft

 

So true .. I wasn't even thinking lab and pharma tech when I posted. It's crazy though how many do still take the chance, and lets be honest, there are prospects that successfully masked or used a bag full of oranges, leaving no marks, to thrash his woman. Do they deserve the money? NO, I deserve the money, but that's another story! It just positively angers me when you find out DAYS before the draft .. imagine the letdown felt through the family. They deserve the lottery ticket to be ripped up and bounced off the yellow brick road onto the highway from hell ... gonna have to really work for it now. Lets see if they get bailed out and drafted anyway.

 

You just ruled out half of the players before the draft even started.

If the draft gives you better players on defense this year you take offense later.

 

Some will, some won't.
Peppers was never a clear first round pick , he may go very late first but likely in the second. Foster was talked about as a top 5 pick, then injury concerns , the combine dismissal, and now the drug test will drop him ,maybe into the second.
Jourdan Lewis , Conley, likely go undrafted, Caleb Brantley will also likely go undrafted .

I'm on that train. I want one of these three guys:
Mitchell Trubisky QB 6-2, 222 North Carolina
Len Fournette RB 6-0, 240 LSU
OJ Howard TE 6-6, 250 Alabama

 

The train departs at 9:45 pm tomorrow night. Don't know that the Jets will go D but if they do, that trains gonna be awfully crowded....

 

I think the Browns will do the following:

Use the first pick on Trabisky.
Trade three first rounders to the 49ers for the second pick.
Use the second overall pick on Fournette
Trade three second rounders to the Jaguars for their first rounder
Trade the Jaguars first rounder to the 49ers to get their own first round picks back and a damned punt returner
49ers use the Jaguars pick to take Trabisky
Browns use # 12 to take Foster
