The over under on O linemen that the Jets select or acquire these next few days----I will set the bar at 1 as even that is a little steep and the under looks easy. As far as the pick at # 3 its simple to me you need an edge rusher for 20 years so you draft one. Then again you could justify not doing that by trading # 3 and recouping a shitload of draft picks to build your team and I could live with that. Now we get to the final option = you have Mac as your GM and the guy cannot think outside the box so I could easily see him selecting Quinnen Williams as this guy fits Macs DNA and he would not have to justify the pick.

I’d like an edge rusher too, actually I’d prefer to draft offensive talent but that’s beside the point.

The bold leads a GM to draft a Vic Beasley over Leonard Williams and that’s not good. If there’s an edge rusher that they feel can dominate st the next level then by all means draft him but you don’t take an edge rusher because you need an edge rusher.

It's funny, we have our franchise QB and there will be an impact player at 3 tonight yet I'm just as nervous knowing that we could still blow it badly (Ed Oliver). Thank god I will be away on business or my poor wife, kid and dog would have to deal with my feet stomping when we take Oliver.

I hear you. Jets always find a way to break our hearts time to time.

Initially, I had planned to go to a local sports bar and watch the 1st round. Today, I saw that both ESPN and ABC were going to cover the draft, so there's really no reason to go to the sports bar. I can sit here in the comfort of home in my boxers, with all the adult beverages I need, and can read and react to what's going on here.

And we don't even know we have our franchise QB until he wins some games, do we?

Congratulations on retirement! May you live as long as you want, in good health, and enjoy every minute of it!

it's enough to feel like we potentially have our franchise QB - a feeling I have not known for a very long time

No real plans other than hitting the couch. Last year I had friends over because we were in line for a franchise-changing draft. This year, I prefer to trade down and there isn't much hosting excitement in that :D .

I hope we do trade down (if only for the selfish reason of wanting to have some investment in the second round when that comes around tomorrow)
