Teams hire these independent scouts to do work for like a week or so here and there evaluating small school games or something and they start listing themselves as having worked for these teams. I know Matt Miller from BR, and he used to do a ton of independent work. He would get asked to do this kind of stuff all the time.
Over the past couple weeks, I've had the sense that Upshaw is falling. Just way too many question marks.
