I went with Jones and Tavon. I would like to trade back at least one of the picks though.

I was looking at the top guards in the NFL yesterday, and I couldn't help but notice that barely any of the top guards were chosen in the first round. Most are 3rd rounders +. That's got me to believe that we shouldn't choose a guard in the top half of the first. Especially when now the supposibly best guard to come out in the last decade is being drafted after Cooper according to many people.

It's about playmakers, something the Jets don't have with or without Sanchez.

I'm not defending Sanchez, he's made his bed, but you're going to have to live with him in 2013, at least till he F ups again.

Ertz is a great player, but he's not elite like Eifert. Ertz has very short ams and isn't a pure pass catcher like Eifert. We have a glaring hole at TE and it will be addressed, Cumberland isn't a starting TE and isn't a playmaker.

Just bringing up that Eifert may be an option at 13, like it or not.

I agree he has to be high on the draft board. I like them both. The think about Ertz I really like in his ability to block. He's a beast at it. I could be wrong but I do think Ertz is better at that department. A nice balanced TE would be nice.

I wouldn't mind if can pull a trade with the Falcons so they can grab Eifert and we can grab a late first and a 2nd.

  4. Don't think any pick jets make will be popular as the fan base is so conflicted.TE is a huge need roster wise as well as in this new age of football.

Eifert is big fast and has great hands.not a lot to dislike.

Honestly, you can't predict trades, but I won't be surprised that we trade back into late Rd 1 with either 9 or 13 and pick up another 2nd rd & Mid rd pick and maybe a 2014 pick as a sweetener.

Yes - this is my dream scenario! I voted Austin & 'other'.

In today's NFL you have to score points. While this means that we don't look at a pass rusher or CB until rounds 3/4, we must put some weapons on the offensive side of the ball if we want to be competative.
