The best thing that happened to your OL is Teague getting hurt, so Mangold gets playing experience. Next year, Teague is strictly a second teamer because he's not a good center! Take your lumps with the rooks on OL this season, upgrade one of the guards through FA, draft another one for the future, maybe upgrade your RB through the draft or maybe FA. Pass on Brady Quinn or whoever is the QB "darling-du-jour" of the draftniks AND any FA QBs as long as Pennington stays healthy because he's better than anybody who's going to be available in FA, supposed "noodle-arm" and all.

In other words: take the shortest path to success.
    Makes sense to me

Why would we draft another QB next year anyway? We have Clemens.

I dont get this whole criticism of the 'tap-dancing left tackle' who is only useful as a pass blocker and cant block the run. They line up across from guys like John Abraham and Dwight Freeney. Whether the offense is going to run or pass the ball, you need somebody to deal with a defensive player whos quickness is his best attribute. Put a 360 pound guy on Dwight Freeney and try to run the ball on his side and Freeney will destroy you.

Thats why the agile left tackle is necessary, is to counter the speed ends. The criticism that left tackles cant run block only works if your suggesting that these speed ends are capable of crushing a smaller tackle as soon as you call a run play, which is not the case.

A few years of neglect and bad drafts along the offensive line got us where we were in April: drafting two o-linemen in the first round, out of necessity. And its still a work in progress from the shambles Mangini inherited from the previous administration. Nobody believes that our guards or right tackle will still be starting next season, probably not even on another roster. Brandon Moore has the best chance, but its still not likely. It is what it is now, and that is a work in progress. Of course we don't have what we need, but I lay the blame for that squarely at the feet of Bradway. He's gone (mostly), and he's still f'ing us

D'Brick better learn how to keep people from getting past his inside shoulder or he'll be protecting Kliff Kingsbury. Any Patriot who decided to rush to the inside, rather than to the outside, had a free pass. That's a good way to get your QB killed...or to have Junior Seau diving at his knees, for example.

Also remember we tried very hard to sign John Runyon in the off season. He was arguably the best RT available in free agency or the draft, albeit a little up there in age. I'm sure that would have made a huge difference.
