    What a great Presser...historic

Keep Gase and ruin Trevor L like Darnold ..now that's a plan (feh)

If the wind up is another pass for the HC and JD sits on his hands well..goodbye and good riddance

Silver and Black is where I'll be at

4-3 with Mad Chuckie and Mike Mayock sounds oodles more promising than a Green slow death

If Douglas actually believes Gase is part of the solution, then somehow we found a GM who's even worse than Maccagnan.

I mean, if gase stays........imagine the exodus. The jets will lose fans.

Its like a businesss fobbing off 60 people to keep their 3 regulars.

Ive not bought merch since '16.

Robby here in 2020 is ranked 3rd in receiving yards only behind Hopkins and Diggs (with fewer targets than both) and 7th in receptions (50). So yes, at the age of only 27 he's now a top 10 NFL WR.

You know how great Robby Anderson truly is?

In 2017 with a career loser of a QB in crap Josh McCown he still almost put up 1,000 receiving yards as only a 2nd year player with 941 receiving yards (2017). That's actually more impressive than fans such as yourself even ever realized (but not me, I spoke about it during my Robby thread).

Don't you dare (ever) try and use awful Jet QBs like Fitzpatrick, McCown, Darnold and also Petty and Geno as a lame duck excuse on why you consider Robby an "average WR" because once landing with an actual quality starting QB (for the first time ever) in Teddy Bridgewater he's immediately ranked top 10 in both receptions (7th) and receiving yards (2nd). The top 10 talent has always been within him however the capable QB, wasn't.

and omg, Teddy Bridgewater? lol I couldn't imagine how unstoppable he'd become with a strong armed QB like a Rodgers or Mahomes!

So you said you would have him over every one of those but 2 WRs

Rather robby anderson over devante adams.

I think you need a lie down.

Devante Adams? lol the same Adams who's only put up one 1,000+ yard season with AARON RODGERS as his lifetime QB? lol

Give Robby Anderson AARON RODGERS and Robby puts up 1k+ each and every year.

    Try again.

Give Adams a Shitztragic/McCown/Sam/Geno/Petty etc and he wouldn't do jack squat. Robby is way more talented.

fans here would be like "see robby sucks, I can't believe we paid him 10 million to have 300 yards halfway through the season on an 0-8 team"

he's 3rd in the NFL in yards behind diggs and hopkins. he's tied for 4th in 20+ yard catches, and 7th in receptions. robby is making the probowl the year

If this happens, I am done with this stupid franchise. I will go from a fanatical fan to rooting against this POS team.

Hopefully, that's just being professional and not saying anything publicly. If not, and Gase is back, I'm done.

I’ve watched regional managers tell market leaders that they were “part of the solution” then fire them months later. It’s weak as far as endorsements go. Still, I’d have preferred something more akin to “we’ll be evaluating everything...blah blah blah”.

I remember all the TGG experts with takes like "Robbie Sucks". "Robbie's nothing special" "One trick pony".

I think DWC and me were the only strong voices for keeping Robbie as we both saw him as a top flight, top 10 WR. We were roundly ridiculed, but now even JD seems to agree with us.

Back to keeping Gase: One BIG reason would be if the NFL announces 2021 TC will be cut short, just like 2020 TC. No face to face. Zoom team meetings. Zero pre-season games. etc.

If this happens, then continuity will become paramount. Bringing in a new coaching staff with a brand new offense/defense with no TC to teach the players what's up would be suicided, especially for a team like the Jets with a ton of new, young players.

For this reason alone they may keep Gase.

Well, if the solution is drafting TL with the #1 pick then Gase is indeed a big part of the solution.

Agreed. Big theme of many of my posts. The love affair with draft picks/cap space over paying our own grown talent is infuriating. What the hell good are draft picks if all your plan to do is let the good ones walk or trade them for more picks? Been doing this for decades.

I wonder what we will get for a compensation pick? A 3rd would be great given Robbie has had a solid year.

Don’t make another mistake., go to CJ and lobby to can the incompetent Gase in bye week, esp after we get embarrassed on national TV this week! I don’t buy that it is only rhetoric on Gase being part of solution, I think jets think that it is true, including JD! Which is worrisome! I knew Gase helping JD get hired was going to be problematic. Gase Knew that, when he got Macc fired, not that he needed any help.

Ya that sucks.. especially because only Fant has been decent the rest are just scrubs. Hopefully we get something from it but the calculations for the comp picks are tricky and nobody but the NFL really knows what they are
