Absolutely, if the price is right I'd take a shot at him. We need depth at WR, I expect Coles to be back and a trio of Coles, Cotch and Stallworth would be top notch but my guess is Stallworth would be looking to start somewhere.
Stallworth sucks, he's not a good route runner and he hates going over the middle. If he was really good the Pats would have found a way to keep him.
Stallworth is a great receiver with an injury bug. Last year was the first year he has stayed healthy in a while, and that's probably because he didn't play much. Still, I would love to have him as a legitimate deep threat that we've been missing since J-slack forgot how to catch.
This is all well and good assuming we re-sign Coles (A 30-year old seeking a long term deal, with about a concussion or 2 away from being like Wayne Chrebet). Otherwise, it's Stallworth (diseased with injuries) Cotch, Smith and Stuckey. More and more are we looking like the Patriots, with the signing of Atrell Hawkins, the (supposedly) aggressive pursuit of Asante Samuel when FA kicks off and many Jets fans thinking we're also going to take a look at Roosevelt Colvin. No way! We should get our WRs in the draft. We just don't do well in FA with WRs period, never have. Cotchery came up the way I thought. Coles, we really should start looking at his replacement soon, the injury bug is getting him killed by weak ass floaters Penny threw.
Four teams in three years. PASS. Anybody notice that Stallworth was slowly phased out last year in favor of Jabar Gaffney?
i think he was phased out quickly, but by wes welker. alot of people assumed stallworth would be the #2 guy behind moss.. but it didnt work out that way. look at all the numbers moss and welker put up together, and behind them no recievers had a chance to consistently put up good numbers. add to that stallworth was injured for a few games.
