Are you talking about that very good defense that had failed to win a game before today and was without 4 starters? Remember that Detroit secondary was without quite a few starters too and Fitz struggled to exploit that. Geno has played with that type of offense for the first two seasons of his career, but I bet you never looked at it like you should be expecting a miracle for him to do well. Why should that be the case for a guy who has played more than a decade in the NFL but not someone who is a rookie or only in his second year? Most Geno supporters over the last few years have stated that his weapons weren't good enough for him to succeed while being so young and the haters said he had enough weapons. Now that the haters have gotten their wish for a new QB and some of the new weapons aren't available, they are saying the new QB needs more weapons to succeed...lol. Classic. So please explain to me your logic as to why Geno had enough weapons to succeed while being a rookie and second year player and Fitz doesn't have enough weapons while being a 10-11 year vet (and still having Marshall available...better than anyone Geno ever had)?
Geno is the worst qb in football. if he starts our season is over. unless every other qb onthe roster is out for the season he should not see the field
When/where did anyone say he did? Do you not think his lack of a supporting cast along with him being a rookie/second year player had something to do with him being so bad? This is a team sport you know.
Right now folks is the prototypical dilema of selecting the devil you know versus the devil you don't. Fitz was not that effective, but did not loose the game for us single handed either . Fitz did have a few hair raising mistakes today, but so did a bunch of other guys through some major boners. Marshall for one, Coples iced the game for them, WR/TE dropped critical passes, the OL did not do Fitz any favors, the running game sucked, and the refs called a couple of pathetic calls against us, like unsportsmanship conduct on 56 while he is tackling the RB to the ground that was still on his feet running. I also believe our game planning was pretty vanilla without Decker to open the middle., and we did very poorly at stopping the run. All in all a sub par performance by many.
Geno sucks and the Jets would easily be 0/3 with him playing, but the lack of urgency by fitz and the coaching staff was disturbing.
At least Fitz had a clean pocket most of the game and Brandon Marshall to throw to. These Fitzlovers all speak as if the previous two seasons never happened outside of the Buffalo game last season.
i think fitz is still so much better than geno. get out of here with that geno crap he's had a fair amount of games to show us something. By the way as poorly as the team played today they still almost pulled the comeback out their asses after being down 24-0
And let's not forget Philadelphia keeping the Jets in the game by dropping not one but two TDs on wheel routes down the right sideline, this after having been already beaten by Ryan Matthews for an earlier TD.
If he played like shit he played like shit. I have never seen excuses like this since Sanchez was here and all this for Ryan Fitz fucking Patrick.
Sorry fellows, Geno will be under center sooner rather than later. The league knows Fitz. and the better teams will defend him well. He has trouble throwing the deep ball and doesn't move as well as he used to. He can only take them so far. The coaches staff is professional and they will get Geno ready during the bye week. He has enough talent to get a real shot with these new receivers. I hope when it does happen some Jet fans will not hope he plays poorly.
people calling for geno because of his deepball? man i've seen eveything. Geno throws a Horrible horrible deep ball. much worse than fitzes.
