To those saying we're more like Jet haters and Giant fans: sorry, but that's a crutch for somebody who can't answer our valid concerns about what's going on with this team. The whole reason we're pissed off it because we're passionate fans. Does that really need to be explained? Come on. The team has been mediocre for decades. Potential is never fully realized, and there are reasons for that. The idea that we're unlucky only goes so far - at some point there has to be accountability for bad decisions they keep making. Calling them out on it does not make us bad fans, it means we're paying attention. To say the Jets aren't as bad as other organizations because they made the playoffs in certain years: "Well, whooptie-freakin-doo". If they don't win when it counts who cares? That just means they're better at being mediocre. Listen, this is still my team. I'm not going anywhere, but we have every right to be pissed that they let us down, again. You can't tell us that we're bad fans for venting about mistakes the organization continues to make.
You do realize that the Knicks have been to the playoffs 17 times in those years right?: 2001 2000 1999 1998 1997 1996 1995 1994 1993 1992 1991 1990 1989 1988 1984 1983 1981 and the Islanders not only been in the playoffs 16 times they've won 3X since 1980! 2007 2004 2003 2002 1994 1993 1990 1988 1987 1986 1985 1984 1983 1982(SC) 1981(SC) 1980(SC) and had 1 more (SC) in 79 as part of the 4-peat. oh and btw, The JETS haven't won crap. You can't argue other teams not winning anything but then say "we've been to the playoffs"...doesn't make sense. This is a horrible argument man..... except for the METS part.
I dont like psl's but its not something that just the jets do. Its a part of sports these days. Are the giants a shit organization? They are do the same thing when it comes to the stadium. The bottom line is we need to stop choking.
No, Tee, it's worse. His post doesn't even consider that we've had to watch the Giants in the Superbowl several times. Even two years ago when they all but BACKED in, and still won a Championship. Meanwhile. . . .
I'm just trying to shine some light on the situation, I've suffered too as a Jet fan but I choose to side with the positive side of things. I've learned to be angry for a few hours after losses like the Falcons and then move on and keep hope alive-
