Damn right, even if they did give you that call and went into OT, their still was a decent chance that the Browns would have beaten you
I called up and a female operator answered, I started raising my voice about Mike Carey and the officiating then she interrupted me and said she'll transfer me to Public Relations. So this guy picks up "PR department how may I help you?" And I just let it out..."How the hell does it look on Mike Carey's officiating crew to not call 3 facemask penalties on the Jets! The officiating was bad, the horrendus call at the end was atrocious! How can an official standing 5 feet from the play call incomplete saying he wasn't forced out then his friend run up and say he WAS forced out and that it should be a touchdown!! That is pathetic! The ruling was a joke, I understand it is not reviewable, but the initial call was an utter joke, and for his buddy to say he was forced out but the play still stands! Mike Carey and his officiating crew deserve to be disciplined by the league in some form!" :ause:: "I'll talk to my colleagues and let them know, thankyou for calling the NFL." I know it won't be discussed or even mentioned, but i'm happy someone listened, he could of easily just hung up, I was surprised he didnt.
There is no saying Mangini doesn't pull a Vermeil and go for 2. My bet thge Browns are so deflated after letting the Jets come back they put it in....
He probably did talk to his colleagues and let them know, and everyone had a good laugh because the Jets got screwed and they don't give a damn.
BUT why cant they review the judgment. This nonsense assumes that he would not have changed his mind if he saw it happen in slow motion -- instead of full speed -- where he didnt even have the right angle to see the play??!!
All I can say is THANK GOD for that blown call. If that play had been reviewed and ruled a catch, then this thread would STILL be 7 pages long but it would be titled: NUGENT MISSES EXTRA POINT, COSTS JETS A WIN...
