Damn i didn't even realize strickland played all 16 games last season with the Chargers. Hope we get the same number of games this season.

This is a great addition, I like DS's comments too, his enthusiasm is great I remember week 1 of 09 that forced fumble on steve slaton! We need that DS!

He was really good 2 years ago, if he's healthy it's a nice signing.

I dig the hell out of this move, mainly against teams like New England that are focusing their offensive passing attack inside the hash marks. Being able to have a guy like Strickland that blows up bubble screens and short crossing patterns with smaller, quicker receivers makes the secondary an upgrade over what we had last season.

Hopefully he doesn't get head-hunted by Belichick again like he did 2 seasons ago.

    Would prefer 19-20 games

Really though, this guy was much better in coverage than Drew Coleman.. I'll take him for a cheap 1 year deal than giving Coleman 3 years and 7 million any day of the week. Knows the system, can cover, plays physical.. hard to not like it.

That, and Strickland blitzing off the edge created a lot of problems for teams on downs with long distances to go.

He was the most underrated cog in the wheel when he was here in 09.

He was healthy; he just didn't fit. He had a terrible season in San Diego's system, which I'm sure was a big reason for him wanting to sign here again.

So I wake up this morning to find out that Cro got re-signed. What does this mean we're gonna do with K-dubs and Strickland?

    They'll play the nickel/dime spots.

Stickland is going to be all over the place on this defense.

It just sucks they didn't retain him last year.

He's awesome in this system. I get why they didn't though. He never stayed healthy.
