If you look at season 1990 - 2008 the Jets are 10-9 playing at Miami. This game is no cake walk and should be taken seriously. Division game...nothing is for granted no matter how crappy they look. Didnt Penny come in for us in 2002 when the Jets were 1-3 and take us to the playoffs?

The wildcat sceme is disigned to set up their blocks for them. I'm not so sure they are a good line without it!

dude...you're seriously using 18 years of statistics to say this is somehow an even matchup?

dan marino doesn't play anymore lol.

that's not to say the jets should sleep on them but talent wise they're garbage, and have no versatility. the jets are a horrible matchup for the dolphins.

no game in the nfl is a guarantee. there are upsets all the time. the fins won the division last yr. and they just crushed buffalo. obviously they are a good team. anybody who is under the delusion that if the jets play "angry" that somehow the fins will get blownout is wrong. This will be a close game and a great game to watch. Taking the defending division champs for granted is just stupid.

I'm not as worried about our defense (although I really, REALLY hope Strickland comes back. Coleman wasn't terrible, but I'd rather him be used sparingly). But I am concerned about our O-line, vs. the Dolphin front 7, and their corners looked pretty good yesterday (largely because they were getting a good rush). Again, for the record, I THINK THE JETS WILL WIN THIS GAME.

there are statistics for their rushing attack without it and its pretty damn good too

doesn't matter, because they will be using the wildcat too. which is averaging about 7 yards a carry this year

In an interview I heard Bart claim him and Rex "had the medicine" for the wildcat. He actually renamed it the wildpussy. Plus, Rex ate the Fins alive in the playoffs last year.

I'd like to see how Henne moves the ball when he doesn't have the time to go underneath to Fasano.

This next week should be fun. We get to kick the Phins asses, plus all these worthless Phins trolls will take a year long vacation for TGG, which is enough reason to celebrate.

Monday can't come soon enough. I can't wait till we fucking stomp the dolfags. I understand how they even can convince themselves that they can beat us.

The only way the Dolphins moved the ball against us last year with any great success was with him. Aside from being Penny's safety valve he's a pretty damn good receiving tight end. Despite getting their asses handed to them, the Bills got to Henne and he either looked his initial receiver down for too long or the O-Line's protection broke down. However I would think that getting him involved against the Jets would be one of the main focal points of Sporano's gameplan this week. So throw your stupid stat out of the window. It's one game.

Jets are going to wreck house. Literally romp and stomp them into 1-4 suckness. I just can't see how the defense doesn't get to Henne and make him look just plain awful.

Agreed. Henne's 2nd career start, and the fact that Baltimore killed the Phins last year bodes very well for us.

We've had a lot of success in the past against Brown and Williams. Miami hasn't scored a rushing TD in its last 3 games against us, and that vaunted rushing attack averaged about 80 yards a game against us last season, including the final game in which we had a banged up rush defense. Plus, this season we have the defensive backfield to shut down the passing attack with a stacked box.
