In hindsight, it looks like a great idea attempting to get Harbough to replace this moron. Harbough is rolling while we...yeah...
Luck won't stay another year...not only is there no reason to, but he has already declared his intent to enter into the draft...he's going to graduate this year, which was the sole reason he returned to college. The best we can hope for if Miami gets the first pick is that he pulls an Eli/Elway and refuses to sign with Miami (which wouldn't surprise me considering how terribly run that organization is...asking Dez Bryant in a draft interview if his mom is a hooker? lol)
pretty clear that parcells the coach is a very different animal than parcells the executive. tough shit fish. no sympathy from me.
If you're a young guy with the football world at your feet and untold riches to come, would you rather live in St Louis, Minnesota, Indianapolis or Miami? I don't think there will be any problem for him going to South Florida - in fact of the available options it's probably his preferred choice. It would be mine.
It's becoming more and more clear that an AFC team is going to grab Luck, both Miami and Indianapolis are horrid and all we can hope for is that Luck turns out to be the QB version of Reggie Bush. St Louis is so heavily invested in Bradford that they can't take him and I think the Vikings are much better then their record and will win a few games this year. We really need Arizona to start losing games, I think they'd bail on Kolb because quite honestly he sucks. Seattle is another option but with 2 wins it's gonna be hard for them to get that #1 pick but the Cardinals would be the team I'm pulling for to lose every remaining game but sadly with Seattle at home it's not likely.
You'd also still be relying on Miami and Indy to each win at least one and probably two games, which looks like a huge ask. Miami have a tough schedule to come - Giants, Eagles, Raiders, Patriots, Jets, Bills twice. Their best hope of a win is a home game v Kansas or away to Washington - but if they can't close out a game with a 15 point lead at home to Denver in the dying minutes of the 4th quarter, I can't really see where in the rest of their schedule they've got a chance. Best hope is for a Jets lay down in week 17, but I think we might be playing to the death this season.
Cowher has refused an approach from Stephen Ross. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...illing-to-talk-with-teams-that-have-vacancies
Understandable but I think part of it is that Cowher wants to go someplace he won't be exposed as a fraud. He didn't want the Jets job, he shyed away from the Panthers job. He may wait around until the Giants job opens or another high profile job from a team that has shown to be a consistent winner.
They aren't that bad of a team talent-wise... It just the coaching and the general atmosphere. Chiefs, Redskins & Raiders games are winnable... Buffalo x2, Patriots, Jets, Dallas, Giants, Eagles? Not so much. That said I hope the Colts go 0-16 because I'd be really curious what they'd do with Manning and Luck. I don't want Luck in our division.
Yup. He wants to go someplace with a strong organizational philosophy and record of decent general management. Like the Giants. However, without Dick Lebeau,(And Arians) my money is on him being exposed.
I don't believe the reports. Ross wouldn't contact him right now. Sparano is going to go down with the ship... and Ross already learned from his blunder with Harbaugh - don't talk to new hires until Sparano is gone. Reports are bogus. Ross himself has come out and said it's false.
I would rather have the Rams go winless and Fins win 2 games. Let the misery continue.........Any Jets fan that wants them 0-16 and in the Luck sweepstakes is out of their gourd.
