If the Jet's pull this, I think it would be through a shootout - They have the two stud receivers, but the Jets have more legitimate depth at the position. If Wilson is able to spread the targets out, they could win the game.

It's amazing how Jets fans have anointed Mike McDaniel the next Andy Reid...after 4 games.

Teddy has been captain check down for the last few years. Not to scary, except cover 3 might not be the best defense to stop this.

No Tua, and Miami is on the road. The heat at this time of the year in MIami gives them a huge advantage over teams that aren't used to the heat/humidity. This is definitely a winnable game.

Where did you get this from? Brown hasn't been activated yet has he? Mitchell has a dislocation and may be back towards the end of the season. More likely to be AVT, Laken, CMcG, Herbig, and hopefully one of the recent signings rather than McD.

Edit: Ok just seen that Brown has been activated. and Mitchell not ruled out absolutely but probably. Still a pretty big long shot though.

It’s apparent to me some Jet fans viewpoint seems to be that the grass is always greener on every team but the Jets. Go figure.

Well TBH, this actually HAS seemed to be the case for about a dozen years now. Hopefully our grass is beginning to green up.

This game may be winnable but we have to limit mistakes and we’re going to have to score points….as good as our corners have been, it’s hard to deal with Hill, Waddle and Gesecki. That is a tough trio. I’m more concerned about our LBs ability to cover those short crossing routes that both Hill and Waddle can take to the house at any given time. Their strength attacks a big weakness of ours with our LB coverage.

Teddy is not that much of a downgrade from Tua from what I’ve seen…he’s savvy, he can move in the pocket better than you’d expect, and he doesn’t make too many boneheaded mistakes. If we play a lot of cover 2 & 3 to guard against the long ball, Teddy is good enough to chew us up with the short and intermediate stuff…which also helps negate our pass rush.

going to be tough to defend them I think.

so Zach needs to play like he did in the fourth quarter last week…we have the horses at WR and RB if our OL can hold up we have a punchers chance. We need better first down production instead of always being in 2nd and 9. Having to convert third and long again and again will be tough.

For the Jets the keys for a chance at the win IMO are as follows:
1- Control the clock offensively thru a punishing and effective running game. This will open up opportunities for Wilson to mix it up with a low risk passing game
2- Defense needs to put all sorts of heat upfront to Teddy and make him force his mid range throws. If we don’t make him uncomfortable it will be a long day and their speedy receivers will roam the middle of the field and completely destroy our LB with speed.
3- Special teams to the rescue. Get every point you can with field goals. Get every yard for good field position. Keep them buried in the return game
It will be tough. Hope we are competitive for four quarters with a chance to strike at the end

I know this might sound crazy or stupid even but I’ll throw it out there. I’m wondering if we can modify our game plan and incorporate a lot more plays with added safeties and less LB to compensate for the speed of the passing game, keeping them in front at all times. After all we have a couple of hybrid safety corners in our arsenal.

I'm afraid of what those TEs might do to us, since we can't seem to cover them..
For the past 10 years....and still..

Ironic, considering we play in green.

I can also guarantee the Jets will beat the Dolphins, because I just simulated the game on a 1984 ZX Spectrum American Football game. It was close, but we pulled away in the final quarter.

Yes indeed, although slowly transitioning to black and white or all white.

BTW there are no guarantees in life

And the only problem with a sure thing is one thing>>>its uncertainty lol

I expect a close game and a true test for Wilson once again
